I made my way out the cubby into the main 'hang out'. Taco stood alone on his phone. I ran over jumping on his big frame. I wrapped my arms and legs around him. "Morning!" I clung to him like a koala.
"Ugh!" Taco grunted as he took on my weight. "Rachel!" He laughed realising who it was who was stuck to him.
"It's been a minute huh?" I grinned letting off him and planting my feet on the floor.
Taco grinned pulling his mask down to revealing his big smile. "Where have you been?" He raised his brow.
"I went away after I bought my car because I needed to figure some stuff out." I shrugged. "I saw my car isn't in the garage?" I raised my brow.
"Randy's been using it." He assured me. "He's been winning races with it." He held up his phone. "Let's show the world you're back." He grinned at the phone attempting a photo.
I wrapped my arms around Taco, pressing my cheek to his with a big smile. "I've missed you Taco." I mused. Taco took the photo and pulled away.
"What you finna do now?" He posted the photo to social media.
I put my hands on my hips and sighed. "I'm gunna go buy a new outfit." I grinned. "You busy?" I pressed.
"I'm actually supposed to be meeting Ramee here." He looked at his phone again.
"Okay, I'll go get changed and be back in a few." I gave him a wave as I began towards the exit. He waved me back and went back to his phone. I began out the cubby and began down the street, a lot had changed since I was gone, the construction that surrounded the place was all finished up.
I walked around the corner to the clothing store that Mr. K owned. I walked in to see April looking in the mirror.
"MY GORL!" I ran over, tackling her to the ground.
"RAY!" She squealed as she collapsed.
We rolled around on the ground giggling as the shop assistant shook her head at us. April and I caught up as I changed into something new. I decided on a pair of joggers with pockets on the sides. "Does Randy know you're back?" April wondered with a grin in her voice.
"Oh stop it." I rolled my eyes as I pulled a crop top over my head. It had an 80's band on the front. I turned in the mirror and frowned at my shoes. "April pass me the black sneakers." I pouted.
The shoes came through the curtain. "No I just meant to get your car back, Randy has been racing that thing consistently."
"Yeah Taco said." I replied absentmindedly. "Why didn't he just use the supra?" I put the trainers.
"He said the NSX is better." She answered nonchalantly. "I can give you a lift if you need one."
"Okay?" I frowned, she really wanted me to talk to Randy. My heart almost stopped. What if Randy has started seeing someone and people wanted me to find out... Oh god... I mean I was in no place to be in a relationship anytime soon anyway but... Was I prepared to lose Randy like that?
"So any gossip? Who's dating who?" I tried to sound casual.
April paused. "Well..." I could hear the cringe in her voice. My heart was beating loudly in my ears. "Ramee and I broke up before you left and it was weird... I actually think I still like him." Her voice shook.
"Aww April." I looked at my outfit in the mirror. "Sorry but I completely knew that already." I laughed. I pulled my hair up in a hair tie and opened the curtain.
April was frowning at me. "Wait what?"
"I mean come one April, everyone knows you and Ramee are endgame." I rolled my eyes and gestured to my outfit.
