I sat on Randy's bed as he paced back and forth before me. He was stressing out about this all. I waited, I knew nothing I could say right now would make an odds, he needed to come round on his own. The shock had settled, and I was getting my wits back.
Randy let out yet another sigh and he finally looked at me. "Ray..." He stopped and knelt before me, placing his head in my lap. "I can't..." He managed through gritted teeth.
I ran my hand through his hair, he was slick with sweat. "I'm sorry you had to do that..." I whispered, as much as I knew he loved me I knew Violet was part of his life and killing her couldn't have been easy.
He froze and looked up at me, his eyes were wide and he was frowning, he looked horrified. "What?" He gaped.
"Well I know she was a big part of your life." I softened my voice.
He shut his eyes tightly and pushed his face into my legs hard. "That's what you're thinking of!" He punched the bed beside me.
"Randy it's okay." I pulled his face up to meet my gaze. "I understand." I gave him a little smile.
He shook his head. "Ray I'm furious." He growled at me.
"I know, she put you in an impossible position." I caressed his cheek.
He stood up, pulling away from me. "No, I'm furious at myself." He punched the wall. "She almost killed you and it was my fault!" He turned to me as he yelled. "I nearly got you killed!" He cringed.
My jaw dropped. "What?!" I stood up feeling rage welling up in my stomach.
"If I had just figured it out better..." He stared at the floor between us. "I can't even express how sorry I am Ray." His voice broke.
"I swear to god Bullet..." I shook my head trying to calm myself down.
"I know..." His head dropped in shame.
That did it.
I pushed him against the wall, ignoring how my stitches protested. I pushed his head back against the wall so he had to face me. "If you ever talk like that again I will kick the shit out of you, it's not your fault this crazy bitch decided I was public enemy number 1." I pushed him harder and couldn't help the next words coming out through gritted teeth. "It was on her that she was a crazy bitch! Blaming yourself helps no one, if you ever apologise about this to me again, I swear to god Bullet!" I grabbed his jaw. "See what happens!" I threatened.
He cracked a humourless smile. "Only you would threaten someone for apologising." He put his hand on my face. "She stabbed you Ray." He murmured.
I let go of him. "So what? I've been stabbed, shot, shit I've even been bitten by a wolf, what's another scar." I shrugged with a laugh. "Now I'm gunna go shower, if you're still sour faced when I get back I will punch you." I told him as I walked through to the bathroom.
I got into his shower and washed myself thoroughly, I was gentle on my wounds as I remembered exactly how they happened. I let out a sigh as I placed my hands on the wall to lean. I wasn't used to being the strong one with Randy and I but it was only fair, he was strong every other time, it was my turn.
A pair of arms encircled me and I relaxed, he was here. I leaned back into him. "Alright, I'll cheer up..." He murmured into my neck. I smiled. This is the Randy I knew...
"Wake up!" Randy roared from above me. I opened my eyes to see Randy was in sweat pants and a gym vest. I frowned, what the shit was going on? "Get up!" He ordered with a hard expression. I sat up unable to form words yet, I just kept my eyes on him confused. He let out a sigh and threw clothes at me. "Violet got the drop on you, even though you were in your house and relaxing she still got you." He gestured to my arm which was wrapped in white bandage now. "You need to train, I need you harder!" His eyes were cold.
