We sat eating the last of our food. "It's just as well we put off going to the supermarket, now since we're going to Godric's Hollow, I think it would be best if we go the whole hog and use polyjuice potion."
Harry grunted, not responding, so I continued.
"We can collect the hair of someone at the supermarket, then we can move camp before we go to Godric's Hollow to be doubly safe. The thicker our disguises, the better."
Silence.
"We just have to make sure–not to cause any disturbance when we go to the supermarket. As low key as possible and swipe a few hairs from a random couple."
I twisted my hands together, nervous at how he was behaving. "Harry?"
"Yes?"
"Are you okay?"
He stood up, pushing his hair back from his face. "I'm fine. Let's braid your hair if we're going out shopping. It's too recognizable."
When I sat in front of him, he brushed my hair for a long time, his hands slowly running through the strands. He was almost finished with my braid when he finally spoke.
"I hate them sometimes, you know."
I knew he meant his parents. The trip to Godric's Hollow hung over both of us. "Why?"
The hair tie snapped as he tied my braid off. "Because they made the wrong choice, and I paid for it."
