This book is set in the medieval era so I will try to be historically accurate as I can.

So let's dive into a brief synopsis of our main character , something I rarely do.

This story will be told through the eyes of our protagonist, Cecily Falsworth, daughter of Lord Montgomery 'Monty' Falsworth (an Easter egg right there for you). Cecily has led a rather sheltered life which is soon turned upside down when she is betrothed to the Prince of Auburndale - Steven Rogers.

Unfortunately with a threat of impending war that darkens their wedding day, Steve rides out with his army the morning after the wedding, leaving Cecily to navigate life by herself.

Then comes the news that no one wanted. Steve has died in battle, however just three years later, he suddenly appears - alive and well...

Like 'Wildflower', this story is heavily influenced by such shows like The Tudors, The White Queen and Merlin. I have a thing about writing female characters that are powerful rather than just the typical damsel in distress. I find it makes for a more interesting story as well as giving all the angst!
In your eyes, at the beginning of this book, Cecily seems to be that 'damsel', doing her duty as any woman had to back then. But don't be put off, she will grow as part of her character development, and I'm
Sure that Steve will certainly be surprised when he returns home! 😂😉

A few warnings to come now:

- Smut - in various shapes and forms.

- Explicit language

- Talks of child loss - please do not mention things in the comments such as "I think she's gonna have a miscarriage" because I really don't want my readers triggered. It's a delicate subject, however it won't be written in too much detail.

- Mentions of violence

- Death

- Oral Sex

Anything else I decide to add will be listed later on ;)

I hope you enjoy this story, even though it is written from the character's perspective. I know some people hate that but I feel for this one that it needs to be done.

As always thank you for your votes and comments- I really try to answer people as much as I can but with so many stories it's getting hard to, so if I don't reply to a question you've asked then please don't be offended 😉 simply drop me a DM.
