Quick Recap: The party, Eleven and Nezuko have arrived at the lake where they have just witnessed Will's body being pulled out of the water by the authorities and Chief Hopper. While the others are teary at the sight, Nezuko is only confused, believing that the body was not human. Mike then left abruptly on his bike in grief, rejecting Eleven and Nezuko's pleas and Dustin and Lucas's attempts to stay, leaving the four children at the lake.

Chapter 4: The Body

Dustin sat cross-legged on the edge of his bed, lost in thought as little Nezuko lay across his lap, kicking her legs up in the air whilst drawing with Will's coloured pencils.
It was quiet, a comfortable silence that the two were very thankful for after a long day. Dustin's mother had come in earlier while Nezuko had been asleep in Dustin's LEGO basket to check up on him, but he just told her that he needed some time alone.
The silence was sometimes broken when Nezuko heard Dustin's soft whimpers as he mourned the loss of his best friend. Every time she heard him, she would drop everything to reach out and hug him around the waist, letting Dustin cry into her shoulder as the tears unwillingly fell.
