I don't know why I'm drawn to the water.

Every time I'm surrounded by the sea or even a pool, I could feel it call to me. Hindi naman ako beach baby, but I find the tranquility and calmness of the waves soothing. Kahit hindi pa rin ako marunong lumangoy, if a friend invites me to go to the beach, rest assured that my name's going to be on the list.

When Belle told us that her wedding venue's going to be in an island in El Nido, I felt an instant rapture of glee. I have never been to Palawan, and El Nido is actually in my bucket list as the beach destination to go to, so I couldn't even imagine the thrill na naramdaman ko when I stepped foot on this beautiful island.

Limestone rock island formations are everywhere whenever I glance to the nearest islands that surround us. Even the resort we're on had majestic cliffs that had the lushest trees I've seen my entire life. And the sea? I couldn't even describe how beautiful its waters which gradients from clear green to the lightest blue. It was in all aspects, true paradise. Feeling ko nga nasa setting ako ng movie na may rainforest in an isolated island—it's the perfect setting for a romantic story, kulang nalang ka-love team ko.

I didn't see Amanda yesterday sa flight, perhaps she's with the other group who were coming in either today or tomorrow. Come to think of it, maski si Janick din pala, I didn't see her either.

"Watermelon spritz—"

"Mine!" I raised my hand to let the resort staff know that the order's was for me. I went near the edge ng swimming pool. Bakit ba feeling ko ang bigat-bigat ko pag nasa pool? Ang bagal ng galaw ko, to think I was in the four-feet part only.

"Thank you". I smiled at the guy who handed me my drink. I haven't tried this particular cocktail, but Celeste said it was good.

Speaking of my friend, bakit biglang tumahimik? I turned to look at where MJ and Celeste were, and nakatulog ata kaya yung dalawa. Mukhang hindi gumagalaw sa sun beds.

I shrugged, then I saw Belle approach and in a hurry — in her black one piece swimwear and a colorful kimono robe that looked like a cape as the wind moved under the fabric while she was running.

Problema nito. Bakit biglang haggard?

"Babe , what's wrong?"

"Oh!—-You're here!"

Why was she surprised to see me?

"Uh..yeah? I'm here. Aren't I supposed to be here?"

"Yes, of course—", kung saan-saan siya tumitingin na parang may hinahanap. "Wait lang, sis ha".

Ano kayang hinahanap nun?

"Mm..this is good". I just enjoyed the view of the sea from the pool and kept sipping on my cool drink. Tinulugan naman kasi ako ng mga kaibigan ko, wala tuloy akong kausap. Nakakahiya naman kasi na sumingit sa family ni Belle, kahit na mabait yung mommy niya. Since wala akong magawa, I just tried to meditate so while my eyes were closed, I focused on the sound of the waves — breathing in and out...deeply, slowly.

"There you are! It's finally nice to meet you!"

Boses ng mommy ni Belle yun ah. Sinong dumating?

Humaba yung leeg ko and napatingin ako sa main reception hall of the resort, since it was only a few meters away from the swimming pool. Curiosity struck me agad since yung mga tita and other family ni Pulkit were gathered on one spot to greet somebody.
