It was raining tonight and I could see several raindrops cling to the window before sliding down to the edge where glass meets the white concrete. Some fall down on its own, while some combine with another droplet - becoming bigger and heavier, falling down together as one.

Looking at myself in the reflection, I know something is changing, I just couldn't exactly figure it out but I feel it.

The purple dim light coming from Belle's essence diffuser mildly brightens a corner of Adline and Ayu's room. If you're a stranger to these things, you would think that it's some mysterious cauldron casting runes to put you to sleep - combined with the vapor coming out of the diffuser's tiny mouth, enveloping the entire room with an earthy-citrusy aroma, it could make anybody crave for a shut-eye, especially for exhausted people like us in this room.

The six of us decided to have a rotational sleep-over starting tonight. We didn't really plan on it, but after our song charade, a lot of chit-chat involving our journey, our lives, future plans and a big bag of  potato chips, I guess we were too worn out and lazy to even walk back to our own rooms. Besides, this was fun.

Ayu and Adline were already asleep in one of the queen beds. My roommate Aisha already fixed a white blanket on the floor with several white pillows for us to rest on, but I told her that it'd be better if she takes the other queen bed because I was fine to sleep on the floor - while Amanda was curled up in the comfy cloth that Aisha had set up.

It reminded me of my college days. A different set up, but sleeping on the floor takes me back to those nights when I had to make ends meet. I didn't have enough money to pay for a room when I was still studying, so I slept on the floor of my barkada's dorm. Lucky me, because the owners of the house were very nice to accommodate me pa rin and even gave me free full-board meals. They even offered me a space, but that would be too much already and I couldn't feel comfortable taking advantage of such generosity. Besides, I like sleeping on the floor din naman as it provides our back with a better support than softer beds. Sanayan lang naman kasi.

A yellow light coming from the bathroom creeped in the almost dark room when the door opened, out came Belle and she sat beside me by the window. We watched how the raindrops kept on falling against the transforming lights of the stunning Guitar hotel.

"Para lang din tayo nasa atin ano? Ulan tapos iinit. Sometimes I even forget we're in Florida", tiningnan ako ni Belle saglit and smiled. "Kamusta ka, Rabiya? Like how are you really?" despite the darkness, I could see how concerned she is.
