Love caught up in my throat(Nagisa x Kaede)

The rest of the day, I managed to endure the pain in my throat, stomach, the back of my neck, and my difficulty breathing. I kept my tight lipped smile and happy, innocent mask.

I can do this. I can make it till the end of the day.

I just have to suck the pain up. And pretend like everything is fine.

For training, Mr Karasuma paired us up.

To my happiness, I got paired with Nagisa. Thank you Mr Karasuma!

I was getting better and better with my sparring matches. What I lack in physical strength I make up for in speed and balance. Also, my petite body makes me light on my feet, so I'm more agile than Nagisa.

I avoided a punch and blocked another attack with my two elbows.

Nagisa grunted and did a side sweep. But I dodged this and cart wheeled away.

"Stop running away" I heard Mr Karasuma lightly scold me.

I realized that I've mostly been avoiding Nagisa's blows but I haven't even managed to land a direct hit on him yet.

"Well that's about to change!" I decided determinedly.

I faked to the left

Nagisa fell for it and tried to attack me from the left but, in the blink of an eye, I was right behind him. Nagisa's blue eyes widened in surprise. Clearly he didn't expect this from me.

With a grin I kicked his back and pressed him on the ground. My knee was pressed on his back, preventing him from getting up, and my rubber knife was on his neck

I allowed a victory smirk

"Wow, nice move Kayano!" I overheard Karma cheer. He was sparring with Rio and despite his attention being on me he still managed to avoid a blow from the blonde.

"That was badass!" I heard Sugino praised.

"Uhhhh Kayano? Can you get off me now please?" Nagisa said from beneath me.

Oh my goodness that sounded wrong for a second! Nagisa beneath me--GET IT TOGETHER IDIOT!

"Oh, hehe" I awkwardly laughed, getting off the boy. "Sorry Nagisa"

"It's ok! You were so cool!" I blushed at the compliment. "That flash step thing you did, One minute you were there and the next you were behind me, it was like you teleported!" Nagisa gushed, leaning his face forward to mine out of excitement

I blushed hard, because Nagisa's cute face was now near mine

"So close!" I squealed in my head.

After sparring, we had to prepare for home economics

I found myself wandering around the forest during lunch break.

I couldn't bring myself to eat. I knew I'd just end up vomiting everything anyway.

In my hands were saliva and blood covered blue roses. I'm going to the river to wash them up, and then I'll make a nice flower crown for myself. Or maybe I could give it to someone, like to a friend.

Maybe even to Nagisa

Knowing that kind boy, he'd appreciate my gift, and take it without thinking about the meaning behind it.

Blue roses represent true love, or unrequited love, they are great for a sense of longing, and a thirst of discovering the unknown.

My blue roses, are a painful reminder of my strong feelings for that blue haired boy. I've never felt this way for anyone before

I giggled as I fiddled with the petals of the roses.

Once I reached the river, I squatted down and started washing the flowers

I wonder what my sister would think of this.

She'd probably encourage me to pursue my feelings. She'd cheer me on from the sidelines. She's compliment my looks and tell me how lucky of a guy Nagisa is for having caught my eye. I giggled at the thought of her

My feet started to ache

I guess I've been squatting too long

I was about to stand up

But one of my roses slipped from my grasp and fell into the running river

I gasped and tried to reach for it

Only for me to fall into the river myself
