Chapter 2: Omega?

Norman's pov:
After Ray left we told our results. I was a Alpha while the others were Betas but since we didn't know Ray's and he left in a hurry, I'm pretty sure he's a omega who doesn't want anyone to know. He may act cold and be hard to read it but he deep down desperately cares about everyone, that's what I admire about him including his raven hair and dark emerald eyes. So I decided to hangout with him and confront him about him being a omega which did shock me. I didn't want him to be a omega but I'll support him. Never knew Ray could be a Omega even though he's smart and strong enough to defend himself.
(Fast Forward to when Norman asked Ray the question from last chapter but still Norman's pov)
Time to ask the question.
"Ray?"
"Hm?"
"Are you a Omega?"
His eyes widen in shock and a bit of fear? Not sure. Did he know I was a Alpha?
"Why do you ask?"
"You seemed upset and ran off before saying what position you got." I explained
"No wonder you got Alpha for how smart you are, and I'm a beta but something terrible happened in there."
Ray stared at that his lap and paused the movie. I could tell something was wrong but what?
"I was basically threaten by someone I don't know who but it was either they kill me or I cooperate with them for something." Ray said with a broken voice.
He took a deep breath and tried reassuring me by saying, "But I can protect myself Norman. I don't need you to protect me."
Ray looked at me and smiled putting his arm around my waist making me blush a bright pink as I hugged Ray putting my face in his chest.
I couldn't believe he was threatened to either die or help with a dangerous mission.
"Woah easy there Norman, I said I can protect myself." Ray said as he hugged me back.
"I know but, I want to protect you! What if that person was the assassin who's been on the news recently!" I raised my voice in worry for Ray's life.
"Tsk, if it is I can beat the crap out of them don't worry." he said rubbing my back
My face went red and started burning up. This is why I love him, Ray's so confident and is able to do anything he sets his mind to much like myself.

Ray's pov:
All according to plan, got a fake story of why I went to the bathroom and got a good excuse to leave in the middle of something in case if I have to go on my next mission. But I also lied saying I'm a Beta even though it looks like I'm a Omega right now. It's just to throw them off and besides I'm the new fire elemental Alpha so I need to be careful with it. If you're blood is a legendary type that would make you a elemental Alpha but it depends on what best suits you. Turns out fire did which explained why I accidentally lit my kitchen counter before. Anyways I had to keep my act as long as possible like I have for 6 years now. Yeah that's right, I started being a assassin since I was 10. (More explanation on that in a later chapter)
We let go of the hug and continued to watch the movie and then Norman went home which he seemed sad about but I told him we can hangout tomorrow. I petted his ears and boy his face was a dark red.
"You actually like that?" I said with a chuckle
"S-shut up." Norman said covering his face being cute.
"Says the short albino alpha idiot who's hiding their face from a Beta." I responded with a smirk
"Why you gotta be so rude? 🥲"
"Cause I can, anyway see you tomorrow."
"Cya!"
Norman ran off in the distance and I closed the door and went to my room. Time for my mission.
