The Kim family stood outside the grand wooden doors of the pack house, their eyes fixed on the winding path leading up to the house. The soft rustle of the wind was accompanied by the faint chirping of birds, setting a calm ambiance as they waited for the guests they had invited for the day.

Before long, the sound of hurried footsteps broke through the quiet, followed by two familiar figures sprinting up the path. Jungkook and Jimin came into view, slightly out of breath, their cheeks flushed from exertion.

"They aren't here yet, right?" Jimin panted, his wide, anxious eyes darting to his mother as he tried to catch his breath.

Taehie raised an eyebrow, a mixture of amusement and exasperation crossing her features. "Did you two actually run all the way here?" she asked, placing her hands on her hips.

"Yes, Mother," Jungkook replied, his voice laced with mock indignation. Straightening up slightly, he pitched his voice higher in an exaggerated mimicry of Jimin. "He made me run because he doesn't want to miss welcoming his mate!" He rolled his eyes dramatically before bending over to rest his hands on his knees, still breathing heavily.

Jimin, already anxious, shot younger a sharp look.

"What? It's your fault, Jungkook-ah. You should have kept track of the time," he retorted, crossing his arms in frustration.

Taehie held up a hand, cutting off their bickering before it could escalate further. "Alright, you two. They're not here yet, but you're both late. Now go inside and get changed before they arrive," she instructed firmly, though her tone was laced with the warmth of a mother used to her children's antics.

As Jungkook turned to head inside, he glanced back and asked,"Where's Alpha?"

"In his study," came a distant reply from her, didn't even look up as she delivered the answer, she might have taken a long exaggerated sigh known of the alpha's reserved persona only expanding as he isolated himself from such simple events as welcoming and waiting, greeting.

The Alpha of their family was known for his reserved and solitary nature, and the image of his mom rolling her eyes to hide her upset at his mate's behavior only made him wonder how much the alpha might have distanced himself.

The two hurried inside, heading toward their respective room. Both were still slightly flushed from their sprint as they moved to freshen up.

They'd lost track of time earlier during their training session with other omegas, a task Jungkook had taken upon himself after assuming his responsibilities as the pack's Luna.

Training was something Jungkook was passionate about. After settling into his Luna duties, he had quickly realized that while the Coral Heart Pack treated omegas with respect and equality under the head Alpha's guidance, there was still room for improvement.

Omegas were often discouraged from learning martial arts or any physical activities, self-defense, a notion Jungkook strongly disagreed with.

He believed safety should never be left to chance, no matter how safe the pack seemed. With that conviction, Jungkook introduced combat and martial arts training specifically tailored for omegas. Though hesitant at first, many omegas slowly began to see the importance of it. Jungkook's goal was not to challenge the pack's traditions but to ensure that every omega could protect themselves if the need ever arose.
