Chapter 1- Double Branch

Koe Wetzel's POV

I just finished my first sold-out show of my Role Models tour. Jelly and Bunnie suggested that we go out and celebrate. I wasn't going to turn down a chance to get off the bus and hang out. We got in a car from the Birmingham car service and headed over to a small bar on the outskirts of the city.

"Koe, what's going on in that head of yours?" Bunnie asks looking at me concerned.

"I just can't believe we did it," I say smiling over at Jelly.

"Believe it man. There is nowhere but up from here." Jelly says as he pats my back.

We chat until we pull up at this small hole in the wall. You can hear the music out in the parking lot. We tell the driver to come back in about three hours. He nods and lets us out. We head inside and see a couple of pool tables scattered around the room. There is a wood bar in the corner and a fireplace with a couple of booths sitting around it. I head up to the bar to get a bottle of Jack Daniels. I notice a girl to the left of me get a bottle of Jack and head over to a booth by the fireplace. I notice she doesn't pay any attention to Jelly, Bunnie, and I. Bunnie notices that I'm checking her out. We get our drinks and look for a place to sit but all the booths are full but one. The only booth that isn't full is the one that the girl for the bar is sitting at by herself. Bunnie heads over to her booth. Jelly and I follow behind her.

"Hey, I was wondering if we could sit with you." She asks the pretty brunette.

"Yeah, of course. I'm Harley by the way." Harley says with a soft smile.

I move to sit next to her and Jelly and Bunnie sit across from us.

"I'm Bunnie this is my husband Jelly." Bunnie says as she shakes her hand.

"I'm Koe." I say smiling over at Harley.

"Nice, to meet y'all." She says looking at the three of us.

"What's a pretty girl like you doing in a bar like this?" I ask as see she's a little distracted.

"I'm just trying to relax." She says looking up at me.

"I have a question. Do you know who we are?" Jelly asks with a slight smile.

"Yeah, I was at the show tonight. I enjoyed it." She says with a slight chuckle.

"I'm surprised you didn't freak out when we sat down." Bunnie says with a slight laugh.

"You're just normal people. Who happens to be good at singing? I didn't want to cause a scene. I figured y'all just want to unwind after the show." She says as she takes a sip of Jack.

"Thank you!" I say with a smile.

"Why don't we get to know each other? Let's take turns asking each other questions." Jelly says with a smirk on his face.

She nods her head as she looks at the three of us.

"Okay! Harley, are you from Alabama?" I ask looking at her.

"Yes, born and raised. Koe, I have a question for you." She says looking over at me.

"Ask away beautiful!" I say smirking at her.

"What do you like to do when you're not touring?" She asks with a thoughtful expression.

"I like to hunt and fish. Plus just being at home away from all the craziness is nice." I say looking at her with a smile on my face.

"I have another one for you." Jelly says with a smile on his face. She nods as she looks at him.

"Harley, are you single?" He asks while smirking at me.
