Chapter 7- Family and Suprises

Harley's POV

Once I'm settled in my bed with Koe's help, we hear a knock on the door. Everyone turns their attention to the hospital room door when we see May stick her head in. She is a good friend of Amanda's. I've gotten really close with her over the past couple of years. She was also John's former partner.

"I brought some more visitors. I think you'll be excited to see Harley." May says with a smile on her face.

She steps to the side and that's when I see my nephews. John Brooks runs into the hospital room. I see Kelly who's May's husband holding Jordan following in behind them. I can't hide the giant smile that spreads across my face.

"Aunt Harley, I've missed you." John Brooks says as he rushes to the side of my hospital bed.

"I've missed you too JB," I say as I help him climb into bed.

Koe's POV

I can't help but watch Harley with her nephews. The smile that spreads across her face is priceless. I watch as she helps John Brooks climb into her hospital bed. He snuggles into her side. I notice she winces slightly but doesn't want anyone to see she's uncomfortable. I watch as she talks with him for a good twenty minutes about his new toy cars.  That's when she looks over to Amanda holding the baby. As soon as he sees Harley he's trying to get out of Amanda's grasp. Harley reaches for him and starts to squeal in happiness.  I watch as she carefully places him on her chest. He snuggles close to her and starts to drift off to sleep. I also take note that John Brooks is asleep snuggled into her side.

"I swear those babies love you to death," John says as he sits in a chair with Amanda on his lap.

"The feeling is mutual. I would die for these two munchkins." Harley says as she pulls the boys closer.

Once I see that Harley is settled I sit down in the recliner next to her bed. I can help but think about what it would be like to have my own family with her. She seems so content with those babies.  There is another knock on the hospital room door. My mom and Bunnie walk over and answer the door.

Julie's POV

I walk over to the door with Bunnie. When we open it we see Jessica. She is Harley's nurse for the evening. We step to the side so she can come in.

"Hey, Harley! I'm going to restart your IV okay." Jessica says as softly to prevent the babies from waking up.

Harley nods her head. She holds out her free arm. Jessica quickly starts the IV. Once everything is finished she starts to explain what she gave Harley.

"I just gave you something for the pain Harley. Those painkillers will probably make you drowsy. I also hooked up some more fluids and another round of antibiotics.  If you need anything don't be afraid to hit the call button." Jessica says with a soft smile before she lets herself out.

I can't help but watch how my son interacts with Harley. They seem like they are each other's missing pieces.

Bunnie's POV

"Why don't we all grab food?" I suggest looking over at everyone.

"I think that's a good idea," Teresa says with a soft smile.

I notice that Amanda is looking at the boys debating on waking them up.

"Amanda, the boys will be okay. Just let them sleep." Harley says with a reassuring smile.

"If they need anything I'll be with them," Koe says to Amanda with a small smile.

"Okay, but do not hesitate to call if you need me to come and get them," Amanda says looking at them with a soft smile.

They both nod their heads. We then all head out to grab food.

Koe's POV

Once everyone leaves I dim the lights for Harley. I help her ease into the hospital bed so she can lay back more comfortably with boys laying on her.

"Thank you, handsome!" She says with a soft smile.

"You're welcome!" I say as I lean down and kiss her forehead.

I watch as Harley drifts off to sleep. I can't help the smile that makes its way onto my face. My phone begins to vibrate. I see that it's an unknown number. I quickly answer it.

"Koe, how did you like my handy work? Enjoy that view of her with those boys. You won't ever get a chance to experience that with her. I'll make sure of that." Says a smug voice on the other end of the phone.

I new exactly who it is. Jackson, that piece of shit.

"You listen to me you son of a bitch. You will not lay another finger on her again. I can promise you that if you do it'll be the last thing you do." I say as I walk over to the window and pull the curtains closed.

"Good luck trying to stop me. The games have only just begun." He say with a chuckle before the line goes dead.

I have to can control the urge to throw my phone across the room. I don't want to wake up Harley or the kids. I go and sit down next to Harley and rest my hand on top of her thigh. I try to stay awake until everyone comes back.

Hardy's POV

I decided to head back to Harley's hospital room before everyone else. I grab Koe and Harley some food. When I get back to the room I see they are all asleep. I walk over to Koe and wake him up. He shot up instantly.

"Are you okay?" I ask as I notice that he's a little jumpy.

"Sorry, I'm a little on edge Jackson called my phone after everyone left." Koe says looking at me with concern written all over his face.

"What did he say?" I ask looking at him with worry.

"He said to enjoy seeing her with her nephews because we wouldn't ever see our own." Koe says looking at her with a conflicted expression.

"Hey, we'll figure this out. I promise everyone of us will help keep her safe." I say as give him a pat on the back.

Not long after that Amanda, John, May, and Kelly show back up.

Harley's POV

I wake to the sound of people talking. I notice that Amanda, John, May, Kelly, Hardy, and Koe are all talking quietly.

"What's going on?" I ask as they all turn and look at me.

I can already tell something is up. They all look unsure of what to say.

"Hey, it's nothing for you to worry about tonight." Amanda says as helps me sit up.

I nod my head and let it go for now. I hope in time they'll tell me what's going on.
