Chapter 6- The Aftermath

Harley's POV
I wake up with my head still on Koe's chest. I notice he is still asleep. I also notice Amanda and John are laying on the couch by the window asleep as well. The door slowly opens and Bunnie, Jelly, Hardy, and Dre walk in.

"Hey, guys!" I say in a strained voice.

"You're finally awake. How do you feel? Do you need anything?" Bunnie says as she rushes over to my side.

She begins to fuss over me. Jelly has to pull Bunnie away from me. She finally calms down. I can't help but laugh a little bit. I quickly regret it. My ribs start to throb. I can't help but wince a little bit.

"I overall feel like shit." I say quietly trying not wake anyone up.

"I'm sorry baby. I brought you a change of clothes that are comfortable." Bunnie says as she give my hand a reassuring squeeze.

"Do you want use to call any other family? I know you have your Aunt Teresa, Amanda, and John here." Jelly asks me while wrapping an arm around Bunnie's waist.

"No, I don't want my mom here. She has always made it known that Jackson could do no wrong. I was always the problem. My dad is an addict and has always been physically and verbally abusive. He only comes around when he needs money. I don't want to worry my sisters." I say looking over at Jelly and Bunnie with tears in my eyes.

"Don't you dare cry. Those pathetic excuse of parents don't deserve those tears. They don't deserve you." Bunnie says as she wipes the tears from my face.

"Thank you!" I say with a small smile.

"You're apart of our family now. We protect our family." Jelly says with a reassuring smile.

"J, is right I know that I've just met you but I see you as a little sister. Plus you bring out a softer side of Koe. I haven't seen that side in a very long time." Dre says as gives my hand a slight squeeze.

"Once you come for one of us you've come for all of us." Hardy says with a big grin on his face.

"Thank you! I'm lucky to know all of you. I see y'all as family to." I say with a smile on my face.

All of a sudden there is a knock on the door. The loud knock on the door wakes up Koe, Amanda, and John. A nurse walks in with a soft smile on her face.

"Hello, Ms. Senn! I'll be your nurse this evening. My names is Jessica. I'm going to get your vitals and then leave you to get cleaned up." She says with a soft smiles.

Jessica then gets to work checking my vitals. She then gently removes my IV so I can get cleaned up hassle free. Once she's finished check me over she leaves.

"Harley, I am so happy that you are awake. You gave us a scare." Amanda says as she walks over and gives me a gentle hug.

"We are going to let you get cleaned up. We will come back in a little while to spend some time with you." John says as he gives my hand a reassuring squeeze.

"Okay, please be careful you two. Thank you again John!" I say with a small smile.

He nods his head and they leave. Koe then eases out of my hospital bed and gently helps me up. We then head to the bathroom with Bunnie not far behind us. Bunnie brings my bag into the bathroom.

"I brought everything that you need. I'll give you two some privacy." Bunnie says before stepping out.

Koe begins to unpack the bag for me. He pulls out the two options of clothing for me. He also pull out my shampoo and conditioner. He places them in the shower for me as well as my vanilla body wash. He then turns on the shower that way the water is hot for me. He turns around and looks at me questioningly.
