A few weeks had passed and Kurt could never be happier. He made lots of new friends in the span of three weeks, that was something to be proud of. Kurt was still trying to break Blaine's little protective shell, though. Lucy said he would never be able to do it, but he was determined. He knew underneath all that quietness and shyness there was a giant social butterfly waiting to be awoken.

Lucy told him that Blaine was actually a really cool guy once you got to know him. Kurt really wanted to meet this side of Blaine, mostly because he wanted to be on his good side. For reasons not even he knew the answer to.

Kurt went over to the Anderson's to hang out with Lucy, maybe to spark a bit of conversation with Blaine, but to mostly hang out with Lucy. He knocked on the door softly and a few seconds later a happy Lucy came to greet him.

"Hey, Kurt!" She shrieked, letting him inside. Kurt laughed softly.

"Kurt and I will be in my room if you need us, Blaine!" Lucy yelled, then she dragged Kurt to her room. As soon as they got inside and the door was shut Kurt turned to Lucy.

"Why're you so jumpy and excited?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Becauseee..." She paused for dramatic effect, "He asked me out." Lucy said, bouncing up and down.

"Wait... Did... Did Owen ask you out?" Kurt asked. Lucy nodded.

   "That's great, Lucy!" Kurt cheered.

After a little while after talking about Owen Kurt decided to dig up a question that he had in the back of his mind for a while now.

"Why is Blaine so anti-social?" He asked, biting his lip. Lucy sighed, sitting on her bed.

"Well... He used to be very social, actually." Lucy began, running a hand through her hair. Kurt tilted his head.

"When our dad died he just didn't like talking to anybody." She explained. Kurt nodded.

"I have one more question." Kurt said, sitting down next to her.

   "Shoot." She replied simply.

"Is Blaine... Gay?" Kurt asked, biting his lip. Lucy raised an eyebrow at the question, but nodded.

"Yeah, he is." She told him. Kurt's heart twisted at her response slightly, then he smiled.

   "Alright, thanks."

Lucy ran to go to the store, so that left Kurt sitting in her room silently. There was a knock at the door and it slowly opened. Kurt watched as Blaine peeked his head into the room.

"Oh, hey." Kurt said softly, crossing his legs.

"Hey, Kurt." He responded, stepping inside.

"Thought you might need company..." Blaine murmured quietly. Kurt smiled, nodding.

"Thanks, it was getting lonely." He told Blaine. Kurt watched as Blaine's lips turned upwards into a smile.

"Cool." Blaine said, sitting in a chair.

"So, how's it going?" Kurt asked, trying his best to spark conversation.

"Good, how about you?" Blaine responded politely.

After about an hour of awkward conversation Kurt had finally done it, and it was easier then he expected. He had finally cracked Blaine's anti-social shell. He could see by the way Blaine sat that he didn't feel awkward. If anything he looked relaxed. Kurt celebrated in his mind while he got to know Blaine better. Kurt learned that Blaine was a straight A student, like himself, and they both shared a strong passion for music. He also learned that Blaine was thinking about transferring to McKinley so it would be easier for Lucy. Personally, Kurt liked the idea.

When Lucy came back Kurt and Blaine had gotten to know each other pretty well, and Kurt was satisfied. Blaine left Lucy's room to go finish his homework, and Lucy walked over to Kurt.

"Kurt, you're magical!" She exclaimed, shaking him gently. Kurt grinned, nodding.

  "I know."
