It was pouring down rain, and Kurt was on his way to school. Kurt had been dreading this day, though. Even the clouds were upset on what was supposed to be this beautiful morning.

Kurt parked in the parking lot, realizing he forgot to pick up Lucy. He slammed his head down on the steering wheel. He picked up his phone, which vibrated as soon as he did so. He checked his messages and found one from Lucy.

Hey, Kurt, Blaine's dropping me off today, it's all good.

   Kurt sighed with relief.

Alright, I'll see you at school, then.

He texted back, then slid his phone into his pocket. He opened his door and stepped out of his car, instantly getting pelted with rain. A annoyed sigh escaped his mouth as a scowl crossed his features. He grabbed an umbrella and opened it, walking towards his school.

Once he stepped inside he did his best to dry off the umbrella and shoved it into his bag. He looked around and hurried to his locker, his heart beating at an irregular pace. He kept walking until he was shoved into the lockers beside him. Kurt bit his tongue, hard.

"Did you miss me, lady boy?" Karofsky asked, laughing. Kurt didn't answer. This was exactly why he had been dreading this day. He was joined by a few other boys, whom he didn't recognize from the angle he was at. Kurt sighed shakily, trying to walk away, but Karofsky stopped him.

"Leaving us so soon?" He asked, tilting his head. Kurt inhaled sharply, closing his eyes.

"Go away." He whispered, but it was barley audible.

"What was that, Hummel?" Karofsky taunted, towering over him. Kurt felt tears starting in his eyes.

"He said to go away, Karofsky." Lucy growled, shoving him. Karofsky took a quick look at Lucy before nodding down the hallway and walked away, his group following. They had the right to be scared, Lucy was the undefeated champion of the wrestling club, and there were lots of tough females at their school.

"You shouldn't let this happen to you, Kurt." Lucy said softly, holding her hand out. Kurt took it gratefully, Lucy pulling him up.

"I know, believe me, I tried." Kurt whispered.

"Try harder, you can be tough when you wanna be, you just need to show him that you aren't afraid anymore." Lucy reminded him as they walked down the hallway.

"That's obviously not going to happen.." Kurt murmured.

After school Lucy took Kurt with her to the office, handing paperwork in to the secretary, then they left.

"What was the paperwork for?" Kurt asked as they both got into his car.

"Blaine's transferring to McKinley soon, awesome, right?" Lucy said happily. Even though he wasn't looking at her, he could tell she was smiling a wide smile. Kurt found himself smiling, as well.

Kurt dropped Lucy off at her house and drove home. He parked in the driveway and walked up to his front door, opening it. He stepped inside and found his dad fast asleep on the couch. He sighed softly, walking up to his room.

Kurt was about finished with his homework until his phone vibrated off his table. He blinked, picking it up, looking at a message from Blaine.

Hi, Kurt, Lucy's going out on a date so I was wondering if you wanted to come over? My grandparents aren't in from Florida yet and it's lonely and quiet :'(

   Kurt sighed softly.

Sure, I'll be over soon.

He texted back. He then realized he was going to be in the Anderson's house, alone with Blaine.
