*Hailey’s POV*

The drive to Emily’s house was quick. Emily was trying to make small talk. Note I said ‘trying’. I didn’t want to talk, to anyone actually. I concentrated at the trees rushing by, then the lines in on the center of the road, then the sky. The sky seemed grey, no clouds though. A perfect example of overcast, just in very cold weather. Emily warned me that it had rain over night, and the sidewalks might have been icy from the temperature drop. But I was strong, I could take of myself. So what I had a broken leg, I still had another, and some very sturdy crutches.

Not paying attention to our arrival, Emily prodded at my cheeks multiple times to tell us we had arrived. I looked down from the sky and was greeted by Emily’s very yellow house. I struggled to take off my belt, and Emily was coming around the side and opened my door. She held my crutches and placed them leaning against the car. She held out her hand to support me, but I only ignored it before grabbing my crutches and hobbling towards the steps. Emily kept by my side slowing walking up the steps before we got to the landing. She opened the clasp of her handbag and dug down to find her keys. I looked down the street, as her key search was still going. There was someone in a hoodie, he turned around and quickly looked at me before rushing a little too quickly away. He reminded me of Louis, oh well.

Emily unlocked her front door, and let me in first, then closing the door behind her. I was here so I had a place to live. Technically, I was homeless. All of my belongings still at our flat; or Louis’ could I say. I didn’t know when I was going to collect my things. I wish they’d just transport to me so I wouldn’t have to face Louis. The boy I loved. The boy I love. But he cheated, when I needed him. I couldn’t just forgive him. I’d look weak. It was best for me.

*Louis’ POV*

Walking back to Harry’s I found him in the same position I saw him last. Closing the door Harry, greeted me.

“You look cold Lou, come here and warm up.”

“M’fine,” I stated back at him rushing up to the guest room.

On my walk back, I realized something. I just couldn’t sit around and mope wishing I had Hailey, or how I wish I never went out to the bar that night. I couldn’t be a burden on Harry ‘cause I couldn’t get my shit together. I needed to handle this myself and go back home. Try to get over Hailey.

Or even better; try to get her back.
