She Was Mine
*Louis' POV*
I opened my eyes to the blinding sunlight coming through the window. A chill ran over me from the hallway, and I pulled up my duvet over my legs with a grunt. I squeezed my eye shut and silently scolded myself for not closing the door before I went to bed last night.
Last night.
I slowly turned my body around and opened my eyes again. There was a slim naked blonde sleeping peacefully where Hailey should have been. Last night was definitely foggy, but this girl definitely stuck out in my mind. And all the events including her. I was angry at myself for doing such a stupid thing. I should of stayed at home. Hailey's surgery would be done now.
I looked over at my clock, 10:47, not too late. Hailey might of woken up recently. I looked over at the blonde again, wondering what I would do with her. I decided it too give it ten minutes. She was soon rustling under the sheets and opened her eyes. She quickly sat up and messed with her hair.
"I think I should go," She said putting on the articles of clothing that were thrown on the floor last night. I only nodded and sat up, pulling my knees up and resting my arms on them. Once she was dressed she began to walk out of my room.
"Wait, just go out down the back," I said suddenly remembering paparazzi. She stepped aside, obviously gesturing for me to lead her there. I pulled on some jeans a led her downstairs and off the back porch. After she left I just stood there shivering in the cold.
*Hailey's POV*
Surgery was not as scary as I though it would be. After I was knock out by the anesthesiologist, I don't remember anything. And in what felt like moments later I was waking back in my hospital room with my leg pinned and casted, resting in a sling tied from the top of the bed. The knock out gas had kept me out until 10 o'clock at night, so I had time to sleep off the side effects.
The next morning I was awoken by a nurse bringing in what I assumed to be my breakfast in a dull silver dish with an equally dull cover. She placed in on the table that went over my bed and said good morning before leaving to deliver the rest of the patients breakfasts.
I lifter the tray off the dish to come face to face with nearly burnt toast, rubbery-looking eggs, and a carton of orange juice. Yum. I think I would just call Lou or Emily to pick something up for me. I began nibbling on the toast and finding a way to cover my broken leg with the blanket so my toes wouldn't freeze. At 10am the doctor came in followed by a very jumpy Emily.
After confirming that I did indeed know her, the doctor left.
"I can't believe what happened I saw it in an article but couldn't come any sooner." she said with a mock pout.
"It's ok, I wouldn't be able to see you long anyways. I've been in and out of this room ever since I got here," I assured here with a laugh. I began nibbling on my toast again.
"Ew that looks gross," she said taking it away from me and plunking it in the trash on the side of her.
"I'll go and get you something better," she stated, getting up.
"No don't leave," I almost shouted.
She hid a laugh, and turned around with her hands on her hips.
"I'll just get Lou to get me something," I told her reaching for my phone.
Her face fell and she sat back in her seat, pulling the seat a little closer to my bed.
"Babe, I gotta tell you something. Or show you,"
I pulled my hand back from my phone, and looked attentively as she reached for her handbag and began digging through it. She pulled three magazines. She slowly put the down and I looked at her confused before gazing back to the magazines. I flipped the all over.
My eyes widened, tears forming. They all had one thing on them.
