Chapter 5

Rhys took a look around him, he found a scooter laying on the carport, the demon approached it but he noticed that there's a young boy playing on the yard with his toy soldier, Rhys approached him.

"Hey, young boy." Rhys greeted him

The young boy noticed the demon, interestingly, he stayed right there instead of running away from The Demon, he assume that the young boy has seen much worse than him

"What is it, Mister?" The young boy spoke with flat tone

"Is that yours?" Rhys pointed at the scooter.

The boy looked at the scooter lying on the carport, he looked at the Rhys again, nodded.

"Can i...can I borrow your scooter, Kid? I need to chase someone." Rhys tells the young boy.

"I don't think I'm just gonna give my scooter to a stranger, Mister. Even if I don't use it right now, it doesn't mean someone could use it. Especially stranger like you"

"I will return it soon afterward, I promise." Rhys raised one of his palms.

"I don't think so, Mister. Sorry." The boy is playing with his toy again.

Rhys put his hand on his chin, thinking how to convince the boy to get his scooter, eventually an idea came out from his mind.

"What about I give you three gold coins, what do you think, Kid?"

The boy's focus shifted at the demon's black void eyes. "Three gold coins, Mister? Are they even real?"

Rhys nodded. "Sure, Kid. It's real gold, you want it?"

"Sure, gimme them. Mister." The boy smiled.

The demon spawned three coins on his hand, he gave it to the young boy, he received it and gave a wide smile to Rhys.

"Thank you Mister, you can use my scooter, I don't mind if you don't return it at all." The young boy pointed at the scooter.

"Your welcome, Kid."

Rhys grabbed the scooter, he rode those scooter along in the neighbor's streets, going after The Princess.

"I'm coming for you, Starla!"

The car that Starla rode eventually stopped right in front of the parking lot of the store where James's family work. It's named Homeworld Emporium, James said it was owned by Joseph's grandfather and the only one home improvement store in Benburg.

Starla peeked from the car's window. She glanced at the parking lot in front of the store. According to the amount of the vehicle, the store might be a bit crowded.

"You can go out now, Starla." The driver asked. "Don't forget the payment."

"Sure," Starla nodded.

She pulled her phone, The Princess paying LiftMeUp charge with her PayMate.

"Thank you for the ride," Starla said before she exited the vehicle.

"No problem, Starla."

After she stepped out of the car. The car left her behind and she approached the store main door, after looking at the inside from the glass door, she entered the building before Rhys got closer to her.

The demon looked around but there's no sign of The Princess at all, he sighed in stress.

"Damn it, where is she?!"

A car passed on the same street where Rhys was, he glanced for a moment, he realized the car that just passed by was the same car that Starla rode, he decided to go after the car, he tried to increase his speed.
