An Extra-(Ordinary) Adventure of Starla N'Co Episode 3: He's Here!

Chapter 8

"Well...you guys are tough...I appreciate your teamwork for that as well..." Rhys smiled slowly.

"That means I win now...You can go...away from us..." Starla said, still panting.

"Alright...alright...i'll leave quickly after this..." Rhys tried to stand up, causing everyone in front of him to walk backward slowly.

Rhys raises one of his hands, Starla and her friends keep eyeing on him, especially what he is gonna do with raising his hand.

Something spawned on his hand eventually, revealing a grenade, he pulled the pin with his thumb and dropped it. Everyone shrieked in panic, Holly kicked the grenade out, rolling afar from them and exploded, just before they reacted quickly. Rhys already stood, running toward them with remaining energy and threw a punch to Starla.

But James grabbed his arm and did a karate chop on the limb, causing him to gritted his teeth, holding the pain back. Until Rhys receives a knuckle sandwich directly to his mouth by James, causing him staggering.

Holly grabbed her skateboard and swung it to Rhys, making him collapse.

James grabbed the fire extinguisher again and sprayed the rest of its content, Rhys tried to protect himself, but failed, causing the content of the extinguisher already covered most of his body, he could feel a freezing numbness over his skin.

He dropped the empty extinguisher, Starla and her friends looked at Rhys in disgust, they glanced at his extinguished body from top to bottom

"Is he dead?" Holly stared at Rhys's head that no longer has fire on it, revealing his bald and almost skeletal head

"No, not yet." Starla shooked, wiped out her bleeding nose.

"What?!" Two of her friends were shocked.

"So our attack is futile?" Holly asked.

"I know who Rhys is, he can be killed with various things that could extinguish a fire but it took 12 hours until he really died, Therefore he is still alive but unconscious for now..." Starla explained.

James was quite unsure what Starla said, so he decided to come closer to Rhys, kicking him right on his head, her friends only watching him. After kicking it for a few seconds, James stopped and approached his friends again.

"Yep, no reaction after all..."

"I told you, he's unconscious until someone pour flammable into his body," Starla said.

"So, what are we gonna do with him?" Holly pointed at Rhys.

Something struck his mind, she just realized that his ex-boyfriend was here, the same dimension where she currently resides, Starla is aware that Rhys is using the same device to travel to a different dimension, but she can't just throw him back to Retnezzia. But at the same time, she can't just report it to the police and put him in jail. The Princess couldn't imagine if hell break loose if he was dealing with the Earth's authority.

"Starla," Holly called her, patting her shoulder.

Eventually Starla breaks from her own thoughts, she glances at Holly.

"Sorry, I'm still thinking about how."

"How about we take him to my home?" Just a seconds later, Holly voiced her opinion

"What?!" Starla looks shocked, "No way we are taking this walking campfire to your home! Do you want him to burn your house to the ground?!"

"He is already unconscious, Starla. I don't think he would even burn single furniture," James replied.

"Do you want us to dispose of his body?" Holly added another idea

"Wait, No! That's a bad idea! I-i..."

James and Holly are staring at her with a little confusion.

"There's something i didn't tell you about him, we used to date together, the reason why i hate him so much because he's become a serial cheater, hanging with lots of girls and didn't give a damn about me, i hate seeing him but at same time, killing him isn't solving any problem. And I am aware that he is doing this job because my parents told him to do so."

James and Holly looked at each other, then looked at Starla again.

"So...You want us to..."

"Yeah, i want to talk to him for a bit before we send him back to Retnezzia,"

"Is that mean we should bring him to-"

"Yes, James's house,"

James went silent after hearing Starla's option, he eventually took a deep breath and nodded.

"Alright then, if he tried to kill us again, you know what to do, Starla."

Starla nodded.

They offered Starla to get embraced by them, Starla refused, even with those intense pain in the body. Eventually James and Holly carrying Rhys's unconscious body, took them for awhile to carrying the body on the emergency stairs, but eventually they're down the stairs along with the body

"Holly, call the LiftMeUp."

Holly nodded, she grabbed her phone, opened the application and requesting LiftMeUp's driver to pick them up, after that. Holly put her phone back to her jacket pocket

"The driver will arrive a few minutes later," Holly notified.

Starla nodded, she and her friends already on the sidewalk, waiting for the driver to pick them up, some of the pedestrians who passed by them, looked at Starla and her friends, even they looked at Rhys that was being embraced by James and Holly.

James glanced upon Holly, she was already sweating a lot in her forehead, he almost caught her peeking at Rhys, causing the skater girl to try to look in the other direction.

The LiftMeUp's car has arrived, the driver lowered the window.

"Alright, seems you...what the...Starla?" The driver glanced at Starla directly.

The Princess noticed that it was the same driver who took her, his eyes widened as he saw Rhys who was still embraced by two of Starla's friends, the driver looked at Starla again who got bruises and nose bleed.

"No need to worry, he's unconscious for now..." Starla answered a quiet question from the driver. "I'm still fine

"Alright, get in everyone!" The driver pointed to the back of the car with his thumb. "I got a first aid kit too if you needed it."

Starla opened the passenger door, she's the first to take the seat, along with James and Holly, Everyone on the backseat almost jostled, if only three of them, they won't have any problem about the space, but since they carrying Starla's demon ex-boyfriend who currently unconscious, this is the situation they have dealt with right now.

After James shut the door, the driver stepped on the gas pedal, the car left the place and went to take to their next destination, James's residence.

"What an insane day, that demon just threatened my life and I took Starla's friend to her friend's home..."

"Wait, what? Is that so?" Starla asked

"Yeah, he straight up pointing SMG to my head, I have no choice but telling your whereabout."

"I don't know if he's really that insane to begin with," James added.
