~Hazel's POV~
I was in quite the cheerful mood.
It didnt even wear off the next day when I had my other set of patients. Even Theodore saw the difference in my attitude and said he told me so. I ended up thanking him but he only smiled at me, like an old man would do to his granddaughter. After finishing up with him, my last patient for the day, I told my parents I wasnt going to be with them for dinner. I was going out to the mainland to do some shopping, Harry said he needed balloons, but I decided to get some other things as well.
I thought mostly about the night before with Harry, I had never been in this kind of relationship, what did this make us? I had no idea, I didnt want to make a fool of myself and ask him for an explanation of this sort of thing, I hoped more than anything that he would bring it up tomorrow, although something told me not to keep my hopes up too high. I got off the boat that had taken me from the island to the mainland and tried to rid my worries and treat myself instead.
His balloons were the first thing I got, I cant imagine why he would need them, it was probably for their plan, but I didnt question it. I got both smaller and larger ones, unsure of which he was referring to. I also got myself more clothes, I only had two weeks worth and it was obvious I was going to stay longer then that, so I got some more outfits. My mother had provided me with her credit card and said as long as I didnt pass $150 I was fine. I got a few feminine products and other toiletries, I also decided to treat myself and eat out at a small restaurant. I got home around ten, after the cell house had shut off all of its lights. My father hassled me about it and asked me what the hell I was doing at this time of night. He went as far enough to go through what I bought.
"You dont need any of these things." He huffed, seeing the bags of clothes.
"I beg to differ." I muttered under my breath while placing my left overs in the fridge.
"What've you got balloons for?"
I smirked slightly, "Nothing, I just thought they looked....decorative." I said so that it sounded like a question.
"I dont know whats with you these days." He rolled his eyes, throwing everything back in the bags and storming off.
"Your fathers just tired." My mother said from behind me, after having witnessed his fit.
"Of course." I sighed and took all of my things back up to my room. I stayed up most of the night to put my things away and then eventually went to bed.
I got up a little later than usual, but made it into my office in time to get set up before Zayn came in. I had also brought the balloons with me, knowing Harry would ask for them.
"Hello Zayn, how are you?" I greeted him when he came in through the door without the guard breathing down his neck.
"Im great." He huffed, fiddling with his fingers.
"You sure about that?"
"Yes im sure." He nodded curtly. I studied him for a while, he wouldnt look at me though, he just had a straight face on while he stared at the floor, something was had obviously gone terribly wrong, Zayn was never this quiet.
"You can talk to me about whatever's going on, im here to help." I assured him.
He shook his head, "I aint talkin' about this to you."
"Then just talk about how you feel, you dont have to tell me anything in particular about what happened." He hesitated and stayed still, so I kept going, "Are you upset?"
"Well obviously." He rolled his eyes.
"I meant like, sad...depressed about something?"
"No." He shook his head.
