Christian attends a party in place of his family.
"Christian took your place?"
Sarah nodded miserably before blowing her nose. "I had no choice. I got sick at the last minute, Ashley is banned from events, you and John have that meeting, and the others give off a werewolf vibe that I'm sure would upset everyone there." She notices how quiet her dad is. "Don't worry dad. I'm sure Christian will be on his best behavior."
In Tokyo, Japan, Christian is dressed in a Navy-blue suit as the taxi is driving him from the hotel to his destination. "Wow." He said in wonder as they approach a huge manor that is built in Traditional Japanese style and stands tall on bare land. "Is this real? Is this guy a shogun?"
He asked and made the driver snort. "Americans."
The taxi parked and Christian sees fellow guests entering dressed formally with sparkly auras. He took a deep breath before paying the driver and got out of the vehicle. "I can do this. I can do this." He mumbled as he followed everyone inside. "I can do this. I can." He paused when he looks into the fancy room. There is traditional Japanese music playing, geishas serving food and drinks, people conversing around a sand garden in the center, and a huge koi pond with a waterfall against the wall.
"I don't think I can do this." He mumbled before running away, and mentally apologizing to his father. He rounded the corner and bumped into a Japanese boy a couple years younger than him with hazel eyes, short black hair, and wearing a navy blue suit also. "I'm sorry!"
"No I'm sorry!"
"Sorry!" they apologized at the same time before chuckling sheepishly.
"I guess introductions are in order. My name is Ken." He bowed.
Christian bowed back. "I'm Christian."
Ken tilted his head to the side as he reads Christian's aura as a fluffy red panda. "I don't think I've seen you around before."
Christian smiled timidly. "I'm here in place of my father. Calvin Dubois. Well, it was supposed to be my sister but she got sick, and so they asked me to come. This is my first party." he explained as he sees Ken's aura as a sparrow.
Ken smiled. "Really? Is that why you were running? Did you get lost?"
Christian blushed. "Honestly, I was running away because I got overwhelmed. I don't have a clue what I'm supposed to do. I guess I could hide in the corner, but that seems rude."
Ken laughed. "You're funny. I like you. How about I escort you in, and show you the ropes?"
Christian is on the verge of tears. "Thank you so much!"
They entered the fancy room together, and a young Japanese girl about Christian's age with long black hair, brown eyes, and is dressed in a purple kimono approached them. "There you are. You know better than to keep me waiting." She spoke Japanese.
Ken smiled a bit. "Sorry sis I was just helping out a new friend. This is Christian. He is one of Count Dubois's sons." He responded in their native tongue.
She narrowed her eyes as she sees his aura as a red ferret. "It's nice to meet you." He bowed timidly and made her roll her eyes.
"Where did you find this Neanderthal?"
Ken narrowed his eyes. "Naomi."
She humphed and walked away. "I'm out of here."
Christian made a face making Ken smile sheepishly. "Don't mind my sister. She's always like this." He grabbed his arm. "Let me introduce you to a few people. Some are our peers." He tugged him through the crowd.
