Christian and the others are getting their final wedding fittings.
"I look gorgeous." Ashley was checking herself out in the dressing table mirrors at a bridal shop.
"But that's not your bridesmaids dress." Sarah told her as she observed the plum, a-line v-neck dress that was flowing down to the floor.
"I spotted this baby on a mannequin and thought to myself, 'Now that's a gown that I should wear to my brother's wedding."
"Ashley."
"You have to admit that it's more flattering than the ones we ended up getting."
Sarah looked down at the peach-colored dress that she's wearing with ruffled sleeves on it.
Jessie entered the room wearing the same dress as Sarah. "Mine is a bit baggy. I'm going to need an alteration." She saw Ashley and placed her hands on her hips.
"Don't look at me like that." Ashley told Jessie. "I don't think our little brother would mind if I switched dresses."
"He won't. But his fiance would."
"Seriously?"
"Ashley, I'm giving you until the count of three to get out of that dress and putting on the one we agreed to wear. One, two."
"Fine." Ashley pouted. "You sour pusses." She walked back to the dressing room she was in and shut the door.
Jacob and John arrived. John was wearing a black tux while Jacob wore grey attire. "Our suits fit just fine." Jacob announced to his sisters. They heard a ripping sound followed by curses coming from Roger's changing room.
Jessie walked over and knocked on the wall next to the curtain. "What's going on?"
"The bastards made my suit super tight. And I was even going to wear black for Luna." Roger hissed out.
That's when the last curtain on the right opened and Christian walked out with a black tuxedo too long for him. "Guys. I think they gave me the wrong suit." Everyone sucked in air. "What's wrong?"
Jessie knocked on the wall again. "I think we found your suit, baby brother."
"Really? Where?"
"Christian has it."
"Why would the goofball have my tux, and holy hell."
"Mind telling me what's going on?" Christian asked his siblings.
"Come on out and show him." Jessie ordered Roger.
"Show me what?" Christian asked them. Roger exhaled before opening the curtain and stepped out to reveal a black tuxedo ripped to shreds from trying it on. Christian's eyes widened in horror. "Please tell me that's not my suit." Everyone was silent. And Christian shrieked after the shock wore off. "What am I going to do?! It took months to order it and get the size that I am!"
"Calm down." Sarah told him. "We'll figure something out."
That's when Ashley emerged from her changing room with the same dress as her sisters. "What's with all the racket? I'm trying to learn to accept this peach cobbler dress and." She saw how Christian and Roger were dressed and began sniggering. She stopped herself with the evil glares the others gave her. "This thing fits fine. I'll just change back to my regular clothes." She shut the curtain.
Christian began to tear up. "Don't panic." Jessie told him. "Get changed while we search the store and ask the staff for help. I am sure there's a suit with your name on it somewhere." Christian nodded sadly before returning to his changing room.
When Christian was gone, Jacob punched Roger on the arm. "How was I supposed to know our suits were switched?" Roger defended himself. "I'll get changed and help with the search. I am not going to have Jason yelling my ear off on one end while Luna tells me off on the other." He rushed into his changing room and shut the curtain shut.
An hour will pass, and Christian and the others are searching frantically for a replacement tux for Christian. "Why aren't there any in my size?" Christian asked in frustration. "The only suits that are my size are those navy blue and red tuxedos on the wall over there."
The manager of the store walked into the room. "I'm afraid that's everything we've got in our inventory. We could order another suit, but it'll take a couple of months with all the back orders we've got. I am very sorry."
"Give us a moment." Sarah requested, and the guy headed to the back. "Let me call Jason and see if the shop he's at has any." Christian sulked as Sarah dialed the number on her phone. "Hey Jason. Your fitting went well. That's good to hear. Listen, we've got a situation here." She explained what happened. "Thanks Jason." She hung up. "He's going to check with the store he's at and call back in a few."
"Why did Jason pick a different store?" Jacob asked.
"He didn't want us seeing each other's tux's until the wedding." Christian mumbled sadly. "He even wanted us to stay in separate houses the night before the big day."
"That's sweet in a traditional way." Ashley mumbled.
"It is but." Christian was cut off when Sarah's phone rang.
"Yes? That's great news. In an hour? We'll be sure to get him there. I'll tell him, but don't expect any kisses to be passed on." Sarah hung up. "The shop Jason's at has a tuxedo the right color and size. He set up a fitting appointment in an hour from now. He won't be there but sends his love."
"Thank God." Christian cried out.
"I'll stay behind to negotiate a refund." John spoke.
Jessie put her hand on Christian's back. "Let's go. And we'll grab a snack on our way there."
Christian nodded his head and shakily got on his feet. Roger ran his hand through his blonde hair. "I'm. About your suit."
"It was an accident." Christian told him. "Just double check the next time you get a smaller outfit, okay?"
"I can do that." Roger spoke. "So, you're hanging with Luna later."
"I won't tell her this time around." Christian promised. "But next time."
"Yeah. Yeah. I get the message." Roger turned around. "I'm going to try on the tux that I'm presuming is mine. I'll catch you later."
As he walked out of the room, "Is it me, or is Roger being nicer to you?" Jessie asked Christian.
"Maybe." Christian muttered before shaking his head. "Anyways, how about Burger King? It's down the street, and I could go for a whopper after all this."
Jessie smiled at him. "You got it." They exited the bridal shop as John talked the manager down at the front desk.
