Christian takes a dance class.
Christian is moping around. Jason is out of town, and he's feeling lonely. That's when his cell phone rang, and he answered it. "Hello. Hey, long time no see. Huh? I'm not sure about that. I'm not that great a dancer. Hm. Well, I've got nothing to do, so I guess you can count me in."
A couple days later, Christian is in a dance studio with an old classmate learning Flamenco dancing. "Stomp, stomp, stomp, and twirl." The instructor instructed as the class follows her steps in tune to the music. "Very good."
Christian smiled until the male instructor came out, and pointed at him. "You were off-beat! Try again! One-two-three-four! One-two-three-four! Faster!" he yelled in a deep Spanish accent.
When class is finished, Christian is groaning while lying on a park bench.
"Christian?" he looked up to see his sister Jesse and his nieces and nephews. "What are you doing out here? You look like a bum."
"Uncle Christian's a bum. Uncle Christian's a bum." They are teasing and laughing making him frown.
After calming the kids down, they headed to the house that she and Bryan purchased. It's near the park, and is a little bit away from the city centre. The children ran inside and exuberantly hugged their father. "Hey kiddos. Who's ready for dinner?"
They cheered before saying, "Hey dad."
"Hm."
"Uncle Christian's a bum." He blinked at them before spotting Christian and Jesse at the doorway.
"The male dancer is giving you a hard time huh?" Bryan asked as they are eating dinner.
Christian sighed. "I think it's because I'm the only guy in that class. It was horrible. My ankles hurt every time he's close-by."
Jesse giggled. "I've never seen Flamenco dancing before. What's it like?"
Christian hummed in thought. "Think of it as river dancing, but you move your arms around and twirl more."
"You do know that everyone is going to watch you perform once they get wind of this right?" She said.
Christian looked at her with big wide eyes. "Oh no. I am not going back to that class."
"Why not?" she asked. "Cause the male instructor is a nightmare."
He felt a tug on his shirt and looks down to see one of his nieces glaring at him. "Mama never raised us to be witters."
He blinked. "You mean quitters?"
She ignored him. "And she said if we want to take a class, we stay in it till the end."
Jesse and Bryan are smiling at the display. "But."
She tugged his shirt again. "No butts. And if you wit now, the eacher will win."
Christian could only stare aghast as the other kids rounded behind her and nodded their heads. "Mm-hm."
"Why am I feeling afraid of you guys all of a sudden?"
"Cause you omga. We alphs and bets." One of them answered.
Bryan coughed while Jesse rushed to them. "Okay kids. Stop pestering your uncle. I think he gets it." she's escorting them out of the room, and Bryan gave Christian a look.
"What? That just means they hear more than they let on." He narrowed his eyes and he got out of his chair. "Well, thanks for dinner and the pep talk. I'll let you guys know when our performance comes up, bye." He left in a hurry before anything could happen.
Christian returned to class and endured harsh treatment from the male instructor. He is either off beat, or off tempo. He endured and endured before finally having enough. When class finished one day, he went to talk to him. "What's your deal?" He asked. "You've been acting like a jerk every class. No wonder guys don't take them, it's because you scared them away."
He glowered with a frown making Christian stiffen. "Of course, I could be wrong." He turned away. "See ya." He grabbed his shoulder making him yelp.
"You are wrong." He looked at him. "There are male students in the other classes, but none are as gifted as you."
Christian looked at him incredulously. "Come again?"
He exhaled. "Out of all the male students you got the dances down to a T."
"Then why do you always say I'm off?"
"I don't want you slacking off." He replied. "If I go easy on you just once, all of your hard work will go down the toilet."
Christian looked down. "It won't." he said. "I would just appreciate it if you would lighten up a bit."
He nodded. "I will do my best. Now, go rest. We have a performance coming up, and can't have you falling asleep during practice."
When he left, Christian huffed. "Why do I get the feeling that he's still going to be a jerk?"
A few weeks later, "Jason!" Sarah hugged him. "When did you get back?"
"A couple hours ago."
"I bet Christian was happy to see you."
"He doesn't know I'm here. I wanted to surprise him." his family smiled.
"He sure will be." "Guys, it's starting."
Music is playing while female dancers clank the castanets in their hands as the dance begins.
Christian joined them, and is wearing tight-fitted black trousers with matching dancing shoes and a red vest with a white top underneath. He looks dazzling as he dances with his partner, and is dancing with great precision and passion.
They noticed how Jason is staring at Christian and grinned. "Someone is getting lucky tonight." Ashley whispered.
When the performance finished, Christian came face-to-face with his male instructor. "A job well done." He complimented before leaving.
He smiled wide before hearing his name being called. Looking over, he sees Jason and his family.
He rushed to them and gave Jason a kiss. "You were great."
"Yeah, I bet you showed that bully how it's done."
As they are leaving, he sees Jason staring at him lustfully. "You know what we are doing when we get home right?"
Christian rolled his eyes. "It's pretty obvious with you staring at me with those hungry eyes."
He smirked as they are walking down the street. "Great. And so you know, I have great rhythm too." "Oh boy."
