Chapter 31-Surprises

*a few months later*

Paige's POV

I knew I was pregnant, but I didn't know how to tell Jacob. It was kind of sudden and out of the blue.

I was shocked, me and Jacob wanted to start a family but we weren't really expecting it so soon, but I was excited. I knew we could do it. I just wasn't sure how Jacob was going to react to this sudden turn of events.

I decided to text Chanel to ask for advice.

C- Hello?

P- Chanel, thank God!

C- What?!

P- Well, I'm kind of... pregnant... But I don't know how to tell Jacob!

C- You're pregnant?! Paige, that's amazing! You should just tell Jacob when you think it is the best moment or whenever you feel confident! He won't be mad! He'll be happy for you both!

P- Okay, I'll try, thanks Chanel. Miss you lots!

C- Miss you too!

*put down phone*

I knew that Chanel was probably right. I could always count on her for advice. Jacob would be extremely excited for the both of us! We were both ready to start a family.

Feeling brave, I promised myself to tell him when he got home from the recording studio.

Hedley was currently working on their second album, Famous Last Words.

The only part that sucked about them writing a new album was that they were being very secretive about it, so I hadn't heard any of the new songs. But I was excited to hear them! So I was kind of glad they were being secretive about it.

When Jacob returned home, I took a deep, cleansing breath, "Jacob, there's something I want to tell you," I managed to say after a few minutes of looking up at him and fiddling with my thumbs.

"Cool, me too! I wanna hear your news first! What is it?"

"Well... I'm... pregnant." My tone was just barely above a whisper.

Jacob looked at me for a long time before reacting, then he pulled me into a kiss.

"You're pregnant?" he asked seeming worried.

"Yeah," I added, "what's wrong?"

"Well it's just that Hedley is going on tour."

"What?! When?!"

"Next month." he said slowly, looking at the ground. I felt like I'd been punched in the gut. A few tears streamed down my face.

"No, no, no, Paige don't cry!" insisted Jacob, wiping tears from my face, "We'll make it work, I swear." He placed his hands in mine and took a step closer, now hugging me.

"I thought we were going to be ready for this! I thought we would be able to just start a family with no problems." I said crying even harder now.

"Look at me, there won't be any problems. We can do this! We will make it through this. We are ready to start a family. Just because I'm going on tour doesn't mean we can't start a family, I will be back before you know it. And you've got Chanel and Zoe to help you." Jacob said caressing my face in his hands.

"I want to be with you." I said looking into his eyes.

"You will be better off here, and if anything happens I'm a phone call away. We are only touring Canada, and if you're about to go into labour than I can get a plane back home." He smiled.

"I love you Jacob!" I smiled.

"I love you too Paige." He smiled back colliding his lips to mine.

We were ready for this.
