Chapter 27

Y/N pov

I made my way through the town, making my way towards the gates. My hand on my head as I rubbed my head lightly while reflecting back to when me and Amber spoke to each other

Flashback

Amber: "But nothing y/n. I'm going to find them and talk to them. You need to get your shit together. I don't know what happened between you and Rudy, but it needs to stop"

Flashback end

Y/N: "She is right... I haven't really spoken to Rudy at all since we came to this continent" Placed my hand over my eye and looked through the crack between my fingers "I guess we both have our own point of view on how to do things... I need to apologize to him"

3rd pov

The sun slowly sets down on the city as Y/N left the town. Head lifted up while looking at the sky, a sign leaving his mouth before hearing a voice unknown to him

???: "Well, well. Seems someone isn't use to having to deal with this amount of responsibility"

Y/N looked around to locate the voice before noting a figure in shadows, staring at him with red eyes

Y/N: "Who the hell are you?"

???: "Oh I am no-one of importance. Just thought I'd check up on how the little demon is doing" Chuckled with a sly grin on its face 

Y/N: "Oh good for you mate. Now tell me who you are!" Pulled out his staff

???: "Now now. No need to get violent. Who I am has nothing to do with you. But, I must say. For someone so young, you seem to get getting control over those blood powers"

Y/N: "Wait... How do you know about my powers?"

???: "oh word can travel fast when you know the right connections"

Y/N: "I don't have time to deal with you"

Y/N turned and resumed walking, or at least tried as ropes of shadows tied him in place and said figure appeared in front of him. Grabbing the boy by the face and looked at his face features.

???: "Mmm, you have the eye of a demon. Yet you also have the ability to transform into one as well. Seems the deed as been done."

Y/N: "He-hey! let go of me!" Struggling to get free of the ropes

???: "Yes, get mad at me kid. Seems anger plays a role in your transformation"

Y/N: "I said. let. go!" 

Before the shadow figure knew it, he got a headful of a headbutt by Y/N. The figure lets go of y/n and held their head in pain

???: "Fucking hell, the hell was that!? Did you just headbutt me!?"

Y/N: Removing the ropes from his wrists and glares "Yes, and I can do a lot more to you if you don't tell me what you know"

???: "Oh no can do mate, seems our meeting has come to an end. Until next time" 

The figure vanished in the shadows and Y/N stood there, lost and confused as to what the figure meant. He was snapped out of his thoughts when Amber hugged him

Y/N: "Huh?"

Amber: "I was getting worried so I thought I would look for you. I heard the screaming and ran as fast as I could. Is... Everything okay?"

Y/N: "Umm" Looked around to find the figure before looking at amber "Ye-Yeah.. I'm okay..."

Amber: "You sure? you seem like you saw a ghost"

Y/N: "I am fine, it was just my imagination"

Amber looked at y/n with a worried look in her eyes but sighs lightly and grabs his arm. Pulling him towards the others. Y/N was lost in thought at his encounter with the figure 

Y/N: In mind "Was it though? It felt so.. real..."

As Y/N was in his own head, Amber brought him to the temporary camp the group made. 

Rudeus: "Hey Y/N. Are you okay?"

Y?N: "Huh?" Snapped out of his thoughts and nods "Yea, I'm fine. Just a lot on my mind at the moment..." Took a deep breath before looking at Rudy "And I'm sorry for my outburst back in the forest. You are my brother and I should have been there for you, I shouldn't have scolded you for doing your job. So, i am sorry"

Rudues: "O-oh, I didn't expect you to apologize. But I forgive you Y/N"

Amber: Claps her hands "Great, you two have made up. How about we eat something, I'm hungry"

Everyone looked at each other, rubbing their neck

Amber: "Seriously? Noone bought food before they left?"

Rudues: "Guess everything happened so fast, we didn't think about it"

Amber rubs the bridge of her nose in annoyance and shook her head

Amber: "Guess we are eating turtle meat then..."

Y/N pov

Y/N: Three days have passed since we left the town Rikaris, only source of food we've been able to get is the Great rock turtles’ meat.. and it tastes terrible. No matter how it's cooked, it still leaves a bad taste in our mouth. Rudy tried his ways, I tried my ways of cooking, heck even amber tried cooking it. Didn't change the texture or taste... It is better then nothing I suppose

Now that I think about it, back when we were at the  Migurd-tribe, they were growing plants and vegetables. Seems growing plants were possible in this infertile wasteland. Taking that into mind, spices would be pretty expensive to buy.  Guess this world really is different from what I am use too

Anyway, I yawn and stretched my body before I lay down and went to Sleep
