Chapter 2
Strong arms wrapped around Melissa's small waist and she couldn't help but smile. The feel of his body against hers always helped her remember the good times in their relationship. Knowing that it was partially for show so his family would think they had no issues whatsoever. That was one of the reasons he took a few days off of work to come to Maine for the family barbecue his parents were hosting at their house.
"You look so damn sexy in these shorts," Zach whispered in Lissa's ear with a mischievous glint in his eyes. Melissa giggled and wiggled in his arms rubbing her backside against the front of his jeans. She knew how to play the game so everyone in either of their families thought nothing could come between them. Whenever they were out at family gatherings they were joined at the hip and barely spent any time away from each other. It was the brief time in their relationship that she felt that Zachary truly loved her.
Turning, in his large arms to face him, Lissa wrapped her small arms around his neck and smiled up at her husband. Though she knew the loving side of her husband would never last, she couldn't help but hope he'd be the man she married six years ago. Tracing her finger along the inside of his collar, she slowly swayed her body against his to music that seemed only the two of them could hear.
"You're so beautiful," Zachary said lowly with lust in his gorgeous blue eyes. It was one of the many features that brought her closer to him when they were in college. She still couldn't believe at times that she was the reason he finally decided to stop chasing skirts, and settle down. It was only in the time of hurt in their relationship that she wished she was a quick in and out to him.
Settling her head into the crook of his neck she finally replied back to Zachary's compliment with an, "And you're so handsome." Which wasn't a stretch of her imagination. At a whopping six feet four inches, Zach was one of the men teens dreamt about while they were thinking of their future. His broad shoulders, money making blue eyes, short curly brown hair, and to top it all off, an award-winning smile. Women drooled whenever they saw Zach, but if only they knew what awaited Melissa whenever Zach was stressed from a long day of work.
Trailing his hands from her waist down to her round ass, Zach couldn't help, but become excited knowing exactly how it felt to be inside of Melissa. Holding her this close to himself caused him to smell the Chanel perfume that he couldn't get enough of. "You know we won't be missed if we sneak into the bathroom for a little bit." Zach whispered into her ear as innocently as he could. He had to stop himself from sucking on her ear lobe and palming her ass in front of his close family.
Smiling like an eager teenager, Melissa lifted her head off of Zachary's shoulder and looked around making sure Zion was okay, before agreeing to sneak away. Though Zach wasn't the ideal husband at times, he was always the best lover any woman could ask for. He knew his way around the vagina and Melissa was always up for him showing her any new tricks.
After several attempts to find an empty bathroom in the big spacious house, the couple finally decided to retreat up to Zachary's old bedroom. Walking into Zach's old bedroom always amazed her with all of his academic rewards lined up on a wall dedicated to only achievements.
Trailing her finger along his valedictorian award, she couldn't help but remember how strict Zach was about his books in college. There were many times where he would turn down sex in order to get as much studying as possible done.
She also knew that his father embedded into his head over and over again that knowledge was the key to living a successful life. At times, Melissa would catch herself blaming her father-in-law for the strict ways Zachary had at times but she also knew he wouldn't allow his son to treat her the way he did. Melissa sometimes wondered if Zach would've turned out to be if he was just as spoiled and snobby as all his childhood friends were.
