Skye

Blaze stood there with a clenched fist and hardened jaw, his eyes trailing on me, furious.

I looked at Carter in anger, "What the fuck us he doing here?" I said, and yes, I cursed. Carter looked taken aback as well. His jaw opened before he decided to close it. Thank god.

Blaze cleared his throat signaling that he was right there "You could have directly asked me that you know"

Ignoring him, I looked at Carter again. "What is he doing here, Carter" I said, emphasizing on each word.

I saw a sudden movement from Blaze and looked towards him, immediately regretting my decision. Behind Blaze, stood the one and only... wait for it... drum roll please.... David. My stepfather. Yuck.

My face paled further, if that was even possible.

"Hello daughter" He snarled, causing Blaze to jab him in the ribs. I gave both of them a blank look before I heard someone clear their throat. I looked to my right and saw two men in fit police uniforms. The younger looking one was tall and fit, his dark brown eyes giving out a glass like effect, he has short brown hair which was cut a little longer than a crew cut.

Shaking the thoughts off my head...

Shaking the thoughts from my head
But who put these waves in the door?
I crack and out I pour
I'm Mr. Loverman
And I miss my lover, man
I'm Mr. Loverman
Oh, and I miss my lover

SHUT UP ASHLEY.

... I looked at the older slightly shorter officer with a questioning look. However, before he could open his mouth to answer, Blaze spoke up. "They are here to collect evidence against mr. knight. He is getting charged with aggravated assault, homicide, domestic violence, harassment and drug possession" he said, causing me to stare at him with a frown.

"All we need are some photo evidence of his abuse or  your statements if pictures aren't available." This time the older officer spoke. I looked at him and nodded, before looking at Carter who had a guilty expression on his face and I know was trying to say sorry. I nodded at him before saying "Send them the pictures" He had the pictures of my bruises since the night he saw them. Clicked them just in case a situation like this arose. welp at lease that worked out well.

Carter pulled out his phone, comprehending what I was asking him to do, "You don't have to do this, Blue"

"I want to Carti b. It's about damn time." I said as Ashley started up again.

It's about damn time
In a minute I'ma need a sentimental
Man or woman to pump me up
Feeling fussy, walkin' in my Balenci-ussy's
Tryna bring out the fabulous
'Cause I give a fuck way too much
I'ma need like two shots in my cup
One to get up, one to get down
Mm, that's how I feel right now

I hate uninvited guests. *cough* Ashley *cough*

Carter nodded before sending the pictures to the police after taking their number.

David stood there in silence, looking as though he was trying to process everything that was happening around him.

The younger officer nodded before walking up to the accused, handcuffing him as he struggled to be let free. "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law" He spoke sharply, making David sneer at all of us.

The officers led him out after thanking us and ensuring us that all measures will be taken against him.

I finally looked at Blaze and Carter, understanding why they came to my apartment. I nodded at them to show my gratitude before clinging to Carter.

"Well, I should leave since I have no work here left, so yeah, imma head out. Take care of yourself angel and eat properly please, you have lost a lot of weight." Blaze said the last part out softly. I gave him a lopsided smile.

As he was about to leave, the doorbell rang. He opened the door to Chase.

Blaze seemed to recognize him as his eyes grew hard and his jaw tightened. He gave Chase a one over before leaving.

Chase looked at me puzzled as he saw the parting look on Blaze's face. I shook my head at him, signaling that it was a story for another time. He nodded before looking at Carter.

"Oh wait, my bad, Chase this is Carter, my best friend and Carter this is Chase, I'm not sure how he got my apartment number, but here he is" I introduced them.

"Hi" they said to each other, before grinning.

"Also it was easy to find your flat. I just asked the security downstairs" Chase said shrugging.

I let out a laugh before realizing I hadn't let him in yet. I opened the door wider "I'm so sorry, please, come in."

"You left this in my car so I decided to come give it to you in the hopes of seeing you again and well maybe, if you're okay with it, take you out tomorrow?" He said, nervously, handing me a packet of sour skittles. So cute.

"I'd love that" I told him with a bright smile, causing him to blush.

"And that was my boyfriend, imma head, I have a spicy night ahead" Carter said with a wink before waltzing out the door.

Chase and I shared a laugh "Well I should leave now, but tomorrow morning; you, me, beach. Be ready darling" He said, gently kissing my forehead. "Sleep well, and call me if you need anything" He said, sweetly before leaving.

He was exiting the door when I stopped him. "Wait bubba" He stopped and looked at me with raised eyebrows, so I continued "would you like to stay for a while and maybe, if you want to, watch a movie with me?" I asked, unsure.

"hmm I don't know, you don't sound so sure about it" He teased

"Ok then, you and me, we're watching a movie, right now" I half ordered

"nah I'll pass" he said, leading me to give him a slacked jaw.
