song - Princesses Don't Cry by CARYS

Skye

A week later...

I make my way down the aisle, David handing me down, wearing the ugliest wedding dress I have ever seen. I had extremely puffy blown out short sleeves, I was a sweetheart neck up with a white sheer extension that was attached to a chocker like piece of lace. The dress had an ugly floral pattern along the border of the neckline that ran down the centre to my navel. The skirt that countless layers of ruffles that were messily put together. I looked bloated. No doubt David picked this up from a thrift store without taking a look at it.

Walking down, I lifted my gaze to Blaze who is wearing a cream blazer with one button done and a light blue pocket square

Walking down, I lifted my gaze to Blaze who is wearing a cream blazer with one button done and a light blue pocket square. He has a white shirt underneath with the top buttons lose, showing off a part of his muscular clean chest. He had put on navy blue slacks and brown shoes. His look was completed by his usual bracelets. He stood at the altar with a bored look on his face. Even though he was looking grumpy and frowning, he looked devilishly handsome.

Before handing me to Blaze, my father gripped my hand tight and whispered in my ear, "One wrong move and it'll be the end of you. Remember one complaint and it's game over." I stiffed even more if that was possible. Blaze didn't spare a glance at me and told the priest to start. There were no guests, it was only his immediate family and mine. There was no decoration and it was being held in the backyard of one of his guest houses. We prepared no vows as they were pointless. "I do," Blaze said breaking me out of my trance. The priest asked me something indicating whether I take him as my lawfully wedded husband or not. I was about to say the negative when my eye caught David who was glaring at me, eyes challenging me to say no. I swallowed the lump in my throat and meekly whispered "I do". The priest ended the ceremony by telling my now-husband that he can kiss me. He roughly reached out for my hand before giving it a light peck, dropping it down and walking out. I stood there looking like an idiot as my eyes moistened. I don't know what I was expecting.

No, you will not cry about this. You have cried enough, get yourself together.

A princess doesn't cry (no)
A princess doesn't cry (no-o)
Burning like a fire
You feel it all the time
But wipe your teary eyes
