Your POV

We came home pretty late last night, so Tom was asleep. This morning he was confused because of the way Matt and Edd were acting. I couldn't blame him. They barely even looked at each other, let alone talk. And when they did, you could feel the tension between them from a mile away.

"Okay, did I miss something or...?" Tom asked.

"It's a long story." I said, not wanting to explain what happened yesterday. I mean, would you want to say to someone unironically that you cried? (No.) I didn't think so!

"Edd made [Y/N] cry!" Matt stated. (Here we go, embarrassment.)

"Really?" Tom looked at me. "No! She wasn't even crying about the headset! It was because you started the fight!" Edd pointed at Matt, glaring at him angrily. I just buried my face in my hands out of shame.

After what I expected to be another fight, the only thing I heard was silence. "[Y/N], we aren't making you sad again, are we?" Matt asked worryingly. "No, just mildly annoyed." I looked at them and crossed my arms.

"You guys are just a bunch of idiots..." Tom rolled his eyes. "Speaking of, you spent all of our money on that arcade. Now we have nothing."

"Oh no! How are we supposed to pay our rent now?!" Matt screamed. (Wait they do pay rent, but then-)

"We don't pay rent..." Tom said nonchalantly.

"Oh, yeah..." Matt laughed. Edd was just looking at us confused. (I'm guessing he still doesn't know what rent is.)

"But we still need to pay for food and, well... to have fun like the arcade." Tom made some good points. "So... Edd, when is the next animation gonna come out?" We all turned to Edd.

"Umm..." Edd was sweating nevously. "Next month?" He shrugged, laughing awkwardly. All of our jaws dropped. "We're gonna starve before that happens!" Tom exclaimed.

"Guys, don't worry! I have money and a job." I said proudly. (Before I moved to London, I applied to a bunch of jobs online and one of them called me for an interview. To put it short, I got the job at a caffe! I did work at a caffe when I was living in my town, after all.) "I'm starting today actually!"

"You're working at weekends?" Tom asked confused.

"I will be working from Thursday to Sunday, so tehnically, yeah." I got up from the table. "Anyway, it's time for me to go."

"Good luck on your first day!" Edd waved me goodbye as I went out. After 8 minutes of walking I was there.

The caffe was pretty small and crammed with a few tables and a counter. The only person in the caffe was an old man sitting in the corner reading a news paper. I walked up to the counter and rang the busted bell on it.

"Good morning, what can I get you?" A girl with blue short hair in a purple hoodie with an apron popped up out of nowhere. Her nametag said Laurel on it.

"Um, g-good morning. I'm here for the job." I stuttered.

"Sorry, but all of our positions are full." She said.

"B-but I applied on the website..."

"Oohh! You must be [Y/N]! Come." She opened the counter swing door and gestured me to come in. We walked into the kitchen which was, again, pretty small and a little smelly. Laurel pointed to one of the lockers in the corner. "This is your locker. You can put all your stuff in there while you work."

She leaned closer to me and whispered "I don't recommend putting your phone in because it gets pretty boring in here..." Laurel then grabbed an apron from the table. "Here is your apron and thats it! Now we just wait for somebody to order."
