The group passed the Monte Carlo and the MGM, pyramids, a pirate ship, and the Statue of Liberty, which was a pretty small replica. They kept wandering the streets of Las Vegas in the heat, until they reached the Lotus Hotel and Casino."Hey, kids." The doorman smiled down at them. He looked at them somewhat worriedly. "You look tired. You want to come in and sit down?" They knew that it sounded like a trick, but they were too drained to care. Accepting his offer, they walked into the building.
The lobby was a giant room which held a water slide that snakes up the glass elevator that went up at least forty floors. There was also a climbing wall on one side of the building, an indoor bungee jumping bridge, virtual reality suits with working laser guns, hundreds of video games, and widescreen televisions.
"Wicked!"
"That place is bloody amazing!"
"Whoa." Grover said, as they all staired wide-eyed at the place.
"Hey!" A bellhop said. He was wearing a white-and-yellow Hawaiian shirt with lotus designs, shorts and flip flops. "Welcome to the Lotus Casino. Here's your room key."
Percy stammered, looking at Thea for guidance, but only found her as confused as him. "Um, but..."
"No, no. The bills taken care of. No extra charges, no tips. Just go on up to the top floor, room 4001. If you need anything, like extra bubbles fir the hot tub, or skeet targets for the shooting range, or whatever, just call the front desk. Here are you LotusCash cards. They work in the restaurants and all the game and rides." He handed each one a plastic green card.
"How much is on there?" Thea asked as she inspected the card.
"What do you mean?" the bellhop's eyebrows knit together.
"She means, when does it run out of cash?" Percy explained further.
The bellhop laughed, as if they had made the funniest joke. "Oh, you're making a joke. Hey, that's cool. Enjoy your stay." With that, he took off.\
"What?"
"Wait, what is that thing?"
"I'm not sure," Lily answered, looking perplexed at the plastic cards the kids were holding.
"It's probably something from the future." Ted Tonks answered.
The group of tired and suspicious kids took the elevator to the top floor and checked out their room. It was a suit with four separate bedrooms and a bar stocked with candy, soda, and chips. There was a big-screen television with satellite and fast internet. On the balcony, there was a large hot tub and a small shooting range with shotguns.
"Oh, goodness." Annabeth exhaled. "This place is..."
"Sweet. Absolutely sweet." Grover finished the sentence for her.
Each one of the teens took a room and showered. Thea felt absolutely amazing stepping into the shower and scraping the grime and dirt off her skin. Somehow, there was a bunch of eucalyptus hung below the showerhead, there was also a jasmine and vanilla shampoo, conditioner, and body gel.
When she went to the closet, she found it full of clothes that matched her style and were surprisingly her size. After picking out a black shirt, pants, and a fresh pair of converses. She noticed that there was a closed compartment in the closet; her curiosity got the best of her, and to her surprise, the compartment had a beautiful collection of leather jackets.
"Holy shit these are wicked!" Sirius said, mesmerized by all the leather jackets.
"Bloody hell..." She breathed. She looked between the small bag with the undetectable extension charm, and back at the closet. Just as she was about to take out the plain black one, Annabeth barged in and her eyes instantly went to the collection of jackets, causing her jaw to drop.
