It was a beautiful morning at Rosefield, California. The sunlight shined upon a friendly neighborhood onto a lovely house. The house is the home of the Goof family.
An explosion gets heard within the house, waking up an eighteen-year-old female with short-length pixie-cut dark red hair named Olivia 'Liv' Goof. She opens her blue-violet eyes and blinks. Her nose scrunches when she smelt smoke coming from the kitchen. Her eyes widened, thinking of the worst.
Liv gets out of bed, nearly tripping, and runs towards the door. She opens the door and looks forward, seeing her younger brother, sixteen-year-old Maximilian 'Max' Goof, stepping out of his bedroom.
Liv's blue-violet eyes intently stared at Max's dark brown eyes. The two immediately thought of one person who caused a commotion in the kitchen.
" Dad!" Liv and Max shout.
The two teens ran down the stairs to the living room. They turned and saw black smoke coming from the kitchen.
" Max! Open all the windows!" Liv shouts, watching Max run around the house to open the windows.
" Dad! Dad! Are you okay?" Liv asked while running towards the kitchen. Her blue-violet eyes squinted, and she began to cough. She felt relieved when she heard a familiar voice from within the black smoke.
" I'm okay, Sweetheart!" Thirty-eight-year-old Gregory 'Goofy' Goof responded with a cough. " Where is that door?" He asked. " Oh! There it is!" He opened the back door and watched all the black smoke leave, revealing a messy kitchen.
Liv's blue-violet eyes blinked, looking horrified when she saw the messy kitchen.
Max went to stand next to Liv and looked at his surroundings with mixed emotions.
The two teens' eyes widened when they heard the front door behind them get slammed open. They turned and saw their maternal Uncle, thirty-eight-year-old Peter Pete, holding an enforcer that the police use to open a locked door.
" Liv! I heard an explosion! Are you alright?" Pete asked, looking relieved when he saw Liv. " Peg! She's alright!" He shouts.
A thirty-eight-year-old female with wavy dark red hair and blue-violet eyes, looking identical to Liv, stepped to the side, looking relieved when she saw Liv and Max.
" Liv! Max! I am so glad you two are alright." Peg approached her twin sister's children and hugged them tightly. " What did your father do now?" She asked while eyeing Goofy, holding a burnt cake and breakfast.
" I was trying to make a cake and breakfast for Liv since she just got accepted to Elk Creek University," Goofy explained while pulling out Liv's acceptance letter from his pant pocket.
Liv's blue-violet eyes widened. " No way!" She exclaimed, running towards Goofy and grabbing the acceptance letter. She read it and smiled when she read that she got accepted into her dream school.
" I got into my dream school!" Liv turns to Max, Peg, and Pete. " I am going to Elk Creek University!" She brightly smiled.
" Oh! Sweetheart! I'm so happy for you." Peg fondly smiled and hugged Liv.
" That's my girl! Not only have you got your mother's looks but also her intelligence." Pete fondly chuckled while ruffling Liv's dark red hair affectionately.
" Wait! You are leaving us!" Max shouts, looking at Liv, horrified since that lets him know he has to eat his father's cooking from now on since his older sister has been the one making food for them to eat.
Liv looked at Max and Goofy since she had lived with them since her mother, Amelia Goof, passed away almost thirteen years ago.
" Max." Peg wrapped her arm around Max's shoulders, causing him to look at her. " She's not leaving you guys. Your sister is only going to Elk Creek University for four years. But, she would come by to visit you guys during the holidays and vacation." She reassured.
" Auntie Peg is right!" Liv nodded. " Even though Elk Creek University is a six-hour drive from home, I will make sure to visit you, Dad, Auntie Peg, Uncle Pete, and PJ because I love my family so much." She warmly smiled.
Goofy stared at Liv emotionally. He couldn't believe that his little girl was growing up, becoming more and more like his beloved wife, Amelia.
A ringing sound coming from upstairs grabbed Liv's attention. " That must be Lily! She must have gotten into Elk Creek too!" She brightly smiled, running up the stairs to gossip with her childhood best friend, Lillian 'Lily' Summers.
" Ooo! I have to go grocery shopping and get so many things for Liv to take to Elk Creek University. Let's go, Pete!" Peg hugged Pete's arm and smiled at Max. " PJ is in his room, playing with his video games if you want to go see him. Breakfast is also in the fridge. Help yourself." She waved goodbye and walked out of the house with her husband.
" Sweet!" Max grinned. Besides Liv's cooking, he also enjoys eating the food that Peg makes.
" Dad! I am going next door to eat breakfast with PJ! See you later for Liv's College Acceptance Party that I know Aunt Peg and Uncle Pete will throw for her." Max waved goodbye and ran out of the house, not caring that he was wearing pajamas because he had some clothes in PJ's room next door that he could change.
Goofy waved goodbye. " See you." He whispered. He frowns, looking sad since he is happy that Liv got into her dream school, but Goofy is also gloomy about it since he will miss her when she is far from him.
Goofy walked out of the messy kitchen and into the living room. He approached the chimney and grabbed a portrait. His gaze softened, seeing a picture of his wife, Amelia, holding their newborn daughter, Liv, on the day she was born.
" Gregory! Look! Isn't our daughter so beautiful!" A twenty-year-old Amelia Goof warmly smiled when she saw a twenty-year-old Goofy entering the hospital room.
" Our daughter." Goofy whispered, looking at the pink bundle of joy in awe. " She looks so much like you, Amelia." He softly smiled when he spotted some dark red hair on Liv's head.
" She also has your smile," Amelia commented while tickling Liv's stomach, causing her to giggle and smile. " See!" She looked at Goofy with loving eyes.
Goofy begins to tear up, feeling emotional. He hugged Amelia and Liv close to him, feeling happy to have a family with the one he loved.
" Amelia. Our little girl has finally grown up." Goofy whispered. " Please watch over her and make sure that nothing horrible happens to her during her time at Elk Creek University." He kisses the portrait and puts it back on the chimney.
