Ch. 5 Leaving Rosefield

Several hours later and it is the morning of the next day. An alarming sound wakes Liv, Lily, and Jackson from their slumber. They got out of bed, Jackson showered, and got ready. Meanwhile, the girls took turns showering and getting ready since they had a long day ahead.

One by one, the three teens leave their bedrooms. Liv and Lily walked towards Pete's house from Goofy's house with Max and Goofy. Meanwhile, Jackson joined PJ in the dining room, where Peg was making breakfast for everyone, and Pete was reading the morning newspaper.

" Good morning, everybody! Today is the day!" Liv opens the door and steps inside, with the others following her.

" Liv! Good morning!" Pete cheerfully greets Liv while setting the newspaper to the side. " Have you decided how to get to Elk Creek University?" He asked.

Liv and Lily turned their gaze to Jackson.

" Jackson is going to take us to Elk Creek University," Liv spoke for the trio.

" Aw! Shucks! I was hoping to take you girls there myself." Pete mumbled. " You!" He glares at Jackson, causing the younger male to stand and get tensed. " You better make sure the girls get to the University safely. You hear me." He sneered.

Jackson nodded.

" Pete. Be nice." Peg scolded.

Pete annoyingly rolled his dark brown eyes and smiled when he saw Liv sit between Lily and Jackson. " We made your favorites! Eat as much as you can. I know you ladies have a long day ahead of you." He motioned Liv and Lily to the feast-like breakfast.

Peg coughed.

" Um! I mean, your Aunt made your favorites." Pete chuckled.

Jackson looked at the breakfast in awe.

" Thanks for the food!" Liv and Lily smiled. They grabbed a plate, put food on it, and started eating breakfast.

Soon everyone filled up their plates with food and ate their breakfast. An hour later, Peg was washing the dishes with Liv and Lily. Jackson was helping Pete, Goofy, Max, PJ, and Armando take the girls' belongings to his RV, which was long, black, and very fancy.

Pete whistled when he stepped inside the RV and looked at his surroundings. " Nice ride. I see that this vehicle has two rooms, a kitchen, and two bathrooms," He complimented.

" Woah! Are you rich or something?" Max asked while looking at his surroundings in awe. " This RV is better than Dad's!" He exclaimed.

Goofy looked at Max, causing PJ to elbow his cousin.

Max awkwardly smiled at Goofy. " I mean, the only thing missing is the karaoke machine. Hehe." He blushes.

" Liv and Lily are welcome to share a room and bathroom," Jackson speaks. " And this RV was a gift from my Uncle, my mother's younger brother." He blushes. ' Ever since I started my first musical tour.' He internally speaks.

" Alright! Did you guys put all of Liv and Lily's stuff inside?" Peg asked while popping her head inside the RV.

" We just finished putting the remaining boxes inside," Pete reassured.

" Great! Now let's all say goodbye to the girls so that they can get going on the road." Peg turns around and steps out of the RV.

The guys stepped out of the RV except for Jackson and Armando so the family could have their moment.

Liv and Lily stood next to each other. Goofy, Pete, Peg, Max, and PJ surrounded them and smiled at the girls.

" Girls! Have an amazing time at College. Just stay safe, okay." Peg hugs Liv and Lily tightly.

" Girls! Have fun. And remember, I am a phone call away." Goofy pulls out a handkerchief and blows his nose with tears falling from his dark brown eyes.

Peg lets go of Liv and Lily so they can look at Goofy.

" Dad." Liv's blue-violet eyes teared up, getting emotional.

Lily also teared up since Goofy has been like a surrogate father to her since she became best friends with Liv.

" Goofy is right." Pete nodded. " If you need something getting fixed in your dorm room. I don't mind driving six hours to fix it for you. I care about you girls alot." He warmly smiled.

Liv and Lily felt touched. They took turns hugging Goofy and Pete since both men had been like fathers to them growing up.

Goofy and Pete let go of Liv and Lily so that Max and PJ could say their goodbyes.

" Go on, boys!" Pete motioned Max and PJ to Liv and Lily.

Max and PJ looked at each other since they didn't know what to say to Liv and Lily since they were rarely the emotional type.

" Have a fun time at Elk Creek! Let me know what College is like!" PJ smiled at Liv and Lily.

" Of course! We'll tell you about it when we see each other at Christmas!" Liv hugs PJ.

PJ hugs Liv, feeling sad since he will miss his older surrogate sister.

Liv lets go of PJ, and she turns her gaze to Max. She held her arms out to her younger brother, who she had raised since she was five.

Max looked at Liv with mixed emotions. His gaze softens, and he walks towards her, hugging her close.

" I know you can be a pain in the butt at times. You always told me to stay safe when I go out. But that lets me know you care about my well-being, which I appreciate. I promise to try my best to do well in my Junior and Senior years." Max whispered. " I am going to miss you so much, Liv." He closed his dark brown eyes, trying his best not to shed a tear.

" I am going to miss you too, Kiddo." Liv hugs Max tightly. " Promise me that you give Dad some slack, too, now that I will be gone." She whispered. " He loves you as much as he loves me. And he also is trying his best to give you a good life too." She let go of her younger brother and smiled at him.

Max glanced at Goofy and saw him smiling at the two. He blushes since he has always seen Goofy as an embarrassing parent.

" Yeah. Yeah." Max nodded. He turned his gaze to Liv and softly smiled.

Armando whispered to Jackson, telling him they needed to get going so there won't be traffic on the way to Elk Creek.

Jackson nodded. He leaned out the doorframe and waved at Liv and Lily, grabbing their attention. " We are ready when you are!" He shouts, causing the two females to smile.

" Call us once you guys get to Elk Creek!" Peg hugged Pete, trying her best not to cry, watching Liv and Lily walk towards the RV.

" We will!" Liv and Lily waved goodbye once they reached the RV. " Love you guys!" They smiled and got inside the vehicle.

" Remember, you little Punk! Take good care of those girls! They mean alot to us!" Pete glares at Jackson.

" I will protect them with my life," Jackson reassured.

Armando turns on the RV and begins to exit the driveway. He makes a right and leaves the neighborhood.

Liv and Lily sat next to each other on the couch. Liv opened the window, and they poked their heads out, waving at their loved ones.

Goofy starts to cry, causing Max to get embarrassed, but he lightly pats his father's back.

Peg and Pete watched the RV leave, feeling emotional. They felt like half of their hearts had left with Liv.

PJ softly smiled. He prays that Liv and Lily's journey to Elk Creek University is safe.

" Can I make Liv's bedroom into a Bowling Room-" Max gets cut off by everyone.

" NO!" They shouted, causing Max to pout adorably.
