present!

"i'm sorry but i'm afraid we can't make that happen right now."

"okay, what about my mother? can i see her?" luna asked, sitting back down.

"we can't make that happen either, at least not right now." the women answered.

"can i talk to them on the phone at least?"

"no, luna i'm sorry, but no you cannot."

luna didn't answer anymore after that, she figured if they weren't gonna let her know anything she would no longer answer them and any questions they had, not until they would allow her to talk to someone. she had a bad feeling about all of this.

day twenty six!

luna was sitting beside ivan by the fire as she looked over at kirin and josh were hitting sticks against each other. she was once again making bracelets, this time she had made one for ivan.

"what the hell is happening?" raf questioned, luna glanced at him before packing up her supplies and putting it in her bag.

kirin and josh stopped with the sticks and looked over at raf, ivan doing the same.

"raf, he's coping."

"no, he's, like, bragging. we just thrashed someone, and he's fucking bragging."

"i think you might be forgetting the context." ivan said, luna looked over at them as she stood next to the tent, where bo and scotty were.

"don't, taylor. don't dress up what he's doing with your big fucking words. he's still defending that sick asshole." kirin replied.

"guys, this can't feel right to you. please, can you say something?" raf said looking over towards bo and scotty.

"can you shut the fuck up? if you're so worried about him then go fucking be with him." luna snapped, the boy has been constantly pissing her off and she had enough. as luna finished, josh had mocked raf's words causing kirin to laugh along with him.

"hey, josh, casual suggestion, but sitting down might be a very cool move for you." ivan suggested as he stood up, lunas attention moving to him then then josh and kirin. and not noticing as raf left, with water from their supplies.

"no way, bro. beast mode's happening. el diablo, 666. you mess with the devil, you get the sticks. oh!"

"hell yeah, j-bird. get after it!" kirin hyped josh up.

"so it's like an actual circus up in here now?" luna heard scotty ask as he was sitting beside her. luna laughed, "to bad the clown was kicked out the camp." she replied. "yeah."

"uh, yo, josh. you might want to.." — "don't break my concentration, bro!" josh said walking backwards, not paying attention he walked into the fire and began to freak out.

"fire!"

"you're on fire, dog!"

"you're on fire!"

everyone rushed towards josh, luckily josh got the fire to go out as he kicked around in the sand.

"holy shit" luna mumbled, her heart racing. she was glad he didn't suffer any serious burns.

"j, you fucking idiot. you okay? huh?" kirin asked. "yeah, yeah."

"you know what? todays been a lot. maybe i should call henry on over and we do that cheer circle thing. yeah? make sure we've aired out all of our.." ivan paused as he looked around, "wait, where's raf?"

"hey, ivan, stuffs missing." bo, informed.

everyone had realized where raf had went and what he had done.

-

while the group had waited for the missing boy to return. luna had found herself resting against kirin, their hands intertwined as kirin ran his thumb against the back of her hand.

kirin noticed as raf returned, hitting ivan's shoulder to get his attention, "can't believe you had the balls to come back. where's the stuff you took of with, rafe? not that we don't already know, but still, we'd love to hear from the horse himself."

"from the horses mouth." ivan corrected.

"what?" kirin asked looking at ivan before back up at raf. "we're waiting."

" he could starve or freeze or both."

"god, who gives a shit? he's a fucking felon."
kirin said, standing up. "how do you feel, josh, knowing this one feed and watered that bastard?"

"josh, im sorry." raf said starting to walk over to him but kirin stopped him, "ah, da, da." kirin tisked. "i'm sorry. i didn't mean to.. he could fucking die out there. does nobody give a shit? exile him, fine. but you can't just send it to death with.. we're not a fucking court of law." raf rambled, trying to explain himself.

"get out and don't come back."

"kirin, come on, that's not what we said we'd tell him." bo said, "yeah, bro. i mean, when did.. when did kicking him out end up on the table?" scotty asked in agreement.

luna watched as ivan stood up, "hey, okay, okay. tensions are running high. everyone's a little powder-keggy right now." he looked between raf and kirin before putting his his hand on his chest pushing him away to talk to him.

they finished talking and ivan moved away before asking josh what he was thinking.

"josh, hey. this doesn't need to happen, okay?" raf tried to persuade him, "i want him out. i want him out of here. i want him out of my sweater. get him out of my fucking sweater!" josh yelled, kirin immediately moving towards raf pulling the sweater off of him forcefully, before punching him down to the sand.

"i'm going. i'm fucking going." raf said as he walked away from the group, or what's left of it.

luna looked over as she heard the sound of throwing up, it was henry. she walked over to him and rubbed his back soothingly, "you okay?" he shook his head, and gently pushed her away.

"hey, henry.." ivan started, henry continued to shake his head as he wrapped his arms around himself, "don't."

luna sighed as he ran away into the forest, she looked over at kirin as he put his hand on josh's shoulder. she rubbed her eyes as she felt stressed, she wanted to get away so she decided to head towards the water.

"hey, lu. you okay? where are you going?" she heard kirin ask as she passed him. she didn't stop walking as she answered,

"i wanna be alone."
