Toasty sand. Fine waters. Endless laughter.

Camping chairs stretched endlessly across shore, families flattening out their cotton and Turkish towels, kids building and destroying castles, of sand and little water, beyond their excitement. The forecast had been the least of its windy predictions but sunnier, way for more fun in the sun.

The couple trekked through the fine granular rocks, toes sinking into the gritty substance with each step. Bright smiles upon their tight faces and while carrying happy spirits, along with a picnic hamper full of treats awaiting to be delved into.

"There." One with her brunette hair wrapped into a neat ponytail called out. Her eyes were on an open spot between a family of two small ones with their umbrella sunk into the sand and what appeared to be both parents sunbathing on their backs — and on an older woman standing in place as she rubbed on what could've been sunblock, across her limbs.

Receiving a questionable glare in return, she smiled with all her joy before carrying on her scoping for the "perfect" spot. Her shades sat above her brown eyes, snug on top of her head. A red and white tartan swim romper doused her appearance; Long tan legs stretching out of the shorts, matching red polish on both her nails and toenails. The day had already begun as the peaceful breeze the couple wished for it to be in the late spring weather. Reveling on the beach where their date would take place was set in stone for the following three hours. The atmosphere was perfect and both women shared the impression.

"What about over there?" Said the other. She wore nothing short of a white high-waist bikini and a floppy straw hat over her deep, dark tresses that cascaded down her back and blew behind her in the direction of the wind. "It doesn't look like anyone has claimed it yet but—"

The brunette hummed, satisfied with the sight. "It's perfect! Come on, let's go before someone else beats us to it!"
She darted before her spouse, moving as if there was fire on her heels.

The summoned area had been about ten feet away from the waterline and in a vacant space amid the crowding families, children, and couples and as she marched through the cozy feeling of the white sand, her wife and kid followed close behind her speedy tread. The moving waters held more lulls than waves and an incredible amount of people watchers around the way but that didn't keep the people from having their fun in the sun. The memorable smell of saltwater merely penetrated the air above ground. More people swam than surfed inside the water and tossed frisbees and spiked volleyballs over invisible nets on dry land.
