Collectively, deciding on moving the children in with Nicole at the end of the school year was best. Brittany would be able to complete the semester without any tassels in between and it made room for River adjusting to being around Nicole in a different atmosphere. For months, every weekend, the two would leave Bey's house to stay at Nicole's. Those were the days she didn't work and rather helped setting up their bedrooms and filling them out more. Brittany had changed over the years, not a lot, but there were a few things she no longer appreciated and even more she took interest in, that Nicole had to get used to. Bonding with the two-year-old was an easy task she could only be gracious for. He was ever patient with Nicole and slowly but surely grew accustomed to her body language, attitudes, and home altogether.

That seemed to be the cause up until the end of the school year formally arrived. It was Fall break, most of the half if not all of the kids' belongings were moved into Nicole's current home in small-town Sugar Land, and the mood was up. Everyone was weary of the way things had transmuted over a couple of months, let alone a couple of years. It wasn't until Bey was kissing River goodbye did he cling to her for dear life. Not to mention Brittany had been standoffish towards the brown-eyed mother ever since their discussion about moving in with Nicole and for two months, did she choose not to speak up a meaningful conversation with her. To say the least, Bey felt uttermost devastated by how her world crumbled.

Starting when she could call back to two years ago, the first time she ever confronted her ex-wife about her affair. First, she lost the love of her life. Now, she was losing her children.

"I know about you and Cassandra." Madly, the younger woman pulled the pictures from under her leg and threw them down on the table.

It was a day amongst her worst of having to ever experience. She was so hurt and betrayed by the person she loved and trusted the most. There was so much anger that made up her being. So much disappointment, that she had to take a step back and think about what was best for her family all over again.

"I can explain — Bey, it's not what it looks like."

"Oh, sure it is, Nicole! You've been fucking a woman named "Cassandra.""

"I am so fucking sorry." Nicole pushes out, heart racing a mile a minute. She just couldn't come up with a formal explanation as to what was happening right before her eyes. She'd been caught. Bey knew.

She knew that if she divorced Nicole, it would be hard on Brittany and if she divorced the former Musical Theatre Professor too soon, it'd be like allowing Nicole to screw her over; Nicole deserved to pay for the pain she caused. She deserved to know exactly how much Bey loved her, and would ultimately do anything for her, and yet how much she damaged the realtor's lively spirit that once lived to serve the older woman. Bey wanted justice. She deserved that. Her family deserved it.
