The next morning

I'm sleeping on the pull out at the chateau with Jj and my phone starts ringing

"Hey sarah. How are you doing"

"Um I'm fine dad left a video saying what he did and what he left for everyone and he wants you to see it can you come over"

"Yea sure I'll be there in 20"

I get off the pull out and Jj stirs

"Where are you going come back"

"I gotta go to Sarah's ward left a video. Saying what he wants to give his family or whatever"

"Do you want me to come?"

"No it's fine I'm stealing your shirt and hat though"

"Yea sure."

I finish getting ready and I go over to jj and give him a kiss

"Bye. Love you."

"Love you too" and with that I'm out the door and I get on my bike and make my way to the Cameron's"

I knock on the door and rafe opens the door and he just looks at me while he lets me in. We're all watching the video and I'm giving Sarah a side hug while we listen to Ward confess and apologize for everything.

"To my family I leave my estate to be divided equally."

"To sarah and wheezie I leave their trust"

"To Evelynn I leave a box in my office full of things I wish I could've given to her"

Once we watch the video sarah leaves and I go into his office and I find the box and it's full of birthday cards and gifts and there's one for my upcoming birthday in there as well. Which was one of those father and daughter gold rings. There's also a note apologizing for not being involved in my life and that he tried to be but my mom shut him out and when I think about it ward was always there when something happened. He was there when I graduated kindergarten. He was there when I was going to middle school, He was there when I broke my arm when I was 4, he was the one that paid the bill, he was there when my mom couldn't afford a stuffed animal for me, and he was there when I didn't have money to go on the class trip and he ended up paying for the class.

I went back to the chateau with the box of things and kie was sitting on the sofa smoking a blunt

"You wanna pass that"

"So what's with the box"

"Just shit ward left me"

"Birthday gifts and birthday cards and shit"

"Why'd he never give them to you"

"My mom wouldn't let him. You what I realized he was there for everything. Every big moment in my life. Like anytime I graduated or when I broke my arm or when I didn't have the money for the class trip he paid for everyone and when my mom didn't have money for a stuffed animal but had money for crack"
