Y/n drove back to her dad's house, she spaced out as Daniel and JD were giggling and making jokes, worried about her son's and her safety. Who knows what all these years could have done to her mother? She wouldn't go as far as harming Y/n's child but by the way she spoke, Y/n was worried her mother had lost her whole sanity.
"You guys get inside, I have some stuff to do, " Y/n declared as she helped JD out of the car "and Dan please don't say anything about today yet" she whispered to Daniel who took hold of JD's hand.
"Yeah sure, whenever you'll be comfortable" Dan responded and started walking away along with JD
"I'll be right back, listen to uncle Dan okay? Love you" Y/n let out and got inside her car she watched from the side mirror JD beaming at her.
Y/n was going to the police station to file a restraining order against her mother, reconsidering the decision that she made in the heat of the moment, did she honestly want to marry Daniel? Suddenly her eyes caught a glimpse of a blonde man walking on the sidewalk, his shoulders, his movements, that couldn't be him right? Y/n quickly parked her car, keeping an eye on the man, she got out of the car and began running in the direction he got on, she saw him with his back turned trying to get inside an apartment.
"JJ! Hey! Wait!! JJ wait," she called out as she ran closer to him
She snatched him by his shoulder, the man stared in confusion "Uh, hey"
"Oh, I'm so sorry," Y/n took a step back, "so sorry, must've mistaken you for someone, so sorry" now she realized the man looked nothing like JJ, maybe just the hair from afar. She rapidly stepped to her car without turning her head.
"Great! Now I've begun fucking hallucinating," she slammed her car door as she got in "get your shit together Y/n" she banged her head to the steering wheel "he is gone, stop it please, please don't hallucinate about him" she tried to calm herself down and turned on the car.

Days passed, and Y/n was not sure how to get herself to marry Daniel, was she even happy? Witnessing her family being so proud of her decision, seeing JD that joyful reminded her she was doing this for him, and tried to comfort herself by thinking JJ would understand her situation. Daniel suggested moving in with Y/n, for safety purposes, since her mother was seen wandering around the area. They would be getting married it made a lot of sense to Daniel to live together.
"I only need to get some of my stuff from my place, and we'll be all set," Daniel said to Y/n as they were standing by the room he would be staying at
"You'll be staying here, my room and JD's room are across the hall if you'll need anything" Y/n replied " and I could help you get your stuff by the time JD's in kindergarten,"
"Uh, there's no need really. I'll get it myself, my place is still a mess" Daniel smiled awkwardly
"No worries, I wanted to help with something since I feel a little useless" Y/n chuckled
"Oh well sure you can come by and help" Dan responded
"Okay then, I'll be downstairs if you need anything"
"Thank you Y/n, and uh- you don't need to worry about me getting in your personal space, I won't ever do anything unless you want me to Y/n," he spoke out
"I appreciate that Dan," she responded and got out.
The drive to Daniels's house was quiet, well every day was like this, monotonous, with Y/n trying her best to get the sense of guilt out of her mind. Was it happening too soon? Did she really move on from him? Would she ever forgive herself? Would JJ?
"We're here Y/n" the sound of Daniel's voice brought her back to reality "you could uh, wait in the car if you're not feeling well"
"No it's good, I'm coming to help you," Y/n spoke as she got out and went after Daniel inside
"It's just some documents and some desk stuff I'll be needing, nothing big," Daniel said stacking some binders onto a box "I'll get these in the car and come get the rest"
Y/n remained silent as she looked around Daniel's place, weirdly enough she hadn't been to his place ever even though they knew each other for years, almost like Daniel never wanted her there.
"Could you get the others and we're done?" Daniel asked as he got in and grabbed some stuff
"Yeah sure, I got it" Y/n replied
He got out and Y/n took hold of the other stuff remaining, there was a box under his desk, Daniel probably had forgotten it down there so Y/n grabbed it and went after Daniel outside.
"Here!" she placed them in the truck
"Uh" Dan gulped "I actually don't need this box, I got to get it back inside"
"Oh come on leave it in the trunk" Y/n insisted "it doesn't take much space anyways"
"It would be better if I left it back here" he replied
"Just drop it off any other day, come on we have to go get JD" she demanded and got inside the car
