“Bucky! I’m bored!” Morana called out. She was in the study; it’s her favorite place in the entire house. Her voice was gentle when she called out.
I strutted from my office to the study, and I saw her smile. Her small body was wrapped in a blanket and she looked hooked by the book she was holding. I’ve wanted to take her out on dates. I also had to make it up to her. Morana didn’t deserve me blowing up on her like that. “Umm… Doll?” I questioned, almost sheepishly. I wanted to go out with her but I felt so bad.
“Yeah, hun?” she questioned. Her book rested on her thigh as I approached her. I sat next to her, and my hand went under the blanket. I found the end seam of her shorts and smiled.
“Would you want to go out with me tonight?” I questioned.
“Yes, always,” she smiled. It was one of the brightest I’ve ever seen with a dimly lit room. She kept most rooms in the house lit low. She described it as her eyes were messed up or it set the mood for her. For what mood? I could never tell, but when she wants me, the room is bright for both of us to see.
“Where would you like to go?” I asked happily. She must’ve noticed. Her smile grew when she saw the look on my face.
“Ummm, maybe dinner, or we can catch the next movie,” she questioned herself. “I don’t know. What do you want to do? We really don’t go on dates, you know?” She was right. We don’t go on dates, we get lunch and the occasional workout together. The last time we went on a date, was our first one. After that, we saw each other every day, and we stayed close to each other.
“Do you want to go to this spot I found up in the mountains? It’s not far, and the view is pretty beautiful,” I suggested. “We could bring a bottle of whiskey.”
“What about food? I know how you act when you’re hungry,” she smirked. “And we know how I am when I’m hungry. Also, if we both drink, who’d drive back? Leave the whiskey here, hun. We’ll celebrate another way, I assure you that.”
“We can pick something up on the way?” I questioned. She knows my past with alcohol. She understands that when I drink now it’s in small increments. If I have one glass of my preferred drink, I’ll have two glasses of water. It has to be a 1:2 ratio, never switched. “And smart thinking, doll,” I added, making her smile at the praise.
“If you want,” she smiled, “should I go get dressed? If so, do you wanna choose?”
“Always,” I smiled, as she led me to the room. She went immediately to our closet. She had most of the drawers, and I had most of the closet space with there being than enough to spare. I throw Morana into the closet and she’d somehow find somewhere to hide.
“Come on, pretty boy.” she smiled. “So, what are we gonna do in the mountains?" She opened her side of the closet.
“Watch the stars. Or you know..” I smiled.
“Are you sure about that?” she smirked. “You know how loud I am.” she giggled. She was very vocal, so was I.
“Eh, we’ll live,” I laughed. “Hopefully…”
“Exusie Moi?” she asked. She’s speaking French again.
“Stop, speaking, French,” I sighed. It was the one language I choose to not take or have in my family, but Morana sounds sexy saying whatever she says.
“It’s the only language you don’t know,” she smiled. “J’adore tu.”
“Love you too,” I smiled, knowing she didn’t know that I knew French. I have picked up on some things when she starts singing or yelling at something. She walked out of the closet and she wore black jeans that hugged her just right, and she had one of my t-shirts on. It went past her mid-thigh. Last she had on a jacket. One that I’d never seen her wear, but it looked like it was meant for a child.
“Tu mange merde,” she smiled. I’m hoping it’s French, it’s the one language I don’t know. Tu means you, and mange means to eat.
“Umm, we should go,” I laughed, looking confused.
“That’s what I thought,” she smiled. She grabbed her car keys, and I groaned.
“Let’s go,” I laughed.
“Where to?” she asked.
“To get food?” I questioned.
“Oui,” she giggled. “Am I driving or are you?”
“I can,” I told her as I got into the driver’s seat.
“Rude,” I heard her mumble.
“You can pick the music.” I smiled.
-I’m gonna love you like I’m gonna lose you-
“Aww, sweet.” I looked at her.
