A family meeting had been called at Wayne Manor by the youngest Waynes: Amaya and Jun. Bruce, Selina, Marinette, Damian, Dick, Jason, Tim, Adrien, and Emma sat in the living room confused. Amaya and Jun had a stack of papers on the living room centerpiece. They could tell what ever was on there was written in crayon.
'An art show; possibly? Marinette and Damian were both talented artists.'
They passed out the papers and they were shocked to see what was written: WE WANT A YOUNGER SIBLING!!! Marinette felt her cheeks turn bright red. Damian was in disbelief that his daughters were commanding it like it was a board meeting and needed everyone's opinion. Adrien, Jason, and Dick were snickering; they weren't even hiding it that well. Tim was half asleep, but gave them a thumbs up and told them he was proud. Bruce and Selina just smiled.
"Um, Amaya. Jun." Marinette spoke up.
Amaya looked at her hopeful, "Yes, Mommy?"
"This is more of a..."Marinette hesitated and quickly turned to her husband for help.
"Mother and Father talk, only." Damian explained, "Not a whole family talk."
"But they would be family, too." Jun pouted, "They should know too."
The Waynes knew they weren't wrong. They could sense Marinette and Damian's conflicted emotions on how to go about the topic. Bruce nodded to the rest of the family and they were quick to leave.
"Your parents are right." he stated, kneeling down to his granddaughters, "This is a talk for you to have with them and only them. There was a lot of talk before your mother decided to help Uncle Adrien with Emma. She had to talk to your father, us, and your grandparents. They also had to talk with Emma's grandfather. We would have to figure out, later, where their room would be. How would that effect Emma since she still needs your mother's help right now and so does Uncle Adrien."
Amaya and Jun pouted. They had just been excited about a new sibling. They hadn't thought about everyone else. They all seemed excited about Emma. Bruce smiled to his son and daughter-in-law and left the room.
"We aren't saying 'No' to a sibling, but it will take time." Marinette spoke, "We wouldn't know when the baby would be born."
"It would also take time for the baby to grow inside of your Mother again." Damian spoke, "We had a lot of rules about what she couldn't do or eat, remember? She's just started eating some of those foods again."
Amaya and Jun nodded.
Mari smiled, "We also wouldn't know if you would get a brother or a sister."
"But Mommy has only had girls; so a sister." Amaya decided.
"It's only a chance." their mother interrupted, "Like a coin flip. It could be a girl or it could be a boy, but I don't get to decide. The baby does."
"Oh!" the girls exclaimed.
"Would you be satisfied with either for a sibling?" Damian questioned.
They watched as their daughters looked at each other and spoke silently in an agreement.
"Yeah." smiled Jun.
Amaya shrugged, "I guess."
"Well," Mari spoke, "how about you two go play while we talk."
The Wayne daughters quickly ran off. Marinette and Damian looked at each other in disbelief. Marinette pulled a couch cushion to her face and whined. Damian could only chuckle.
"That was embarassing!" his wife whined.
"I'm very conflicted." Damian spoke, "They'll could very well dethrone Father and Drake as CEO's."
Marinette laughed, "What do you think?"
"I'm not opposed to the idea." he answered.
The Waynes smiled. Two years later, they had a son: Malik Vitus Wayne.
