After three more hours of labor, Emma was finally born. She had blonde hair like her father and grandmother, but had her mother's bright blue eyes. The nurse smiled and held her out for Marinette to take.
Marinette shook her head, "Adrien, you should be the first to hold her."
"Really?" he asked.
"She is your daughter." she replied.
The nurse gently handed baby Emma to her father. Adrien held her and bit his lip. He couldn't help the tears that came to his eyes.
"Hi, Emma." he whispered, "I'm your Daddy. I'm so happy you're here, Princess."
Call it paternal instinct, but he felt like he would never let her go. Adrien quickly handed her over to Marinette. She smiled down at Emma in her arms.
"I know you will be very happy." Mari whispered, "I have known your daddy for years. He's a bit of a goofball and he'll probably embarrass you when you're older."
"Hey!" Adrien whined.
Marinette simply smiled, "But he will spoil you. He's my best friend and I know he will make sure you come out as gentle as a flower your named after."
Adrien blushed as he listen to his best friend talk to his daughter. He felt a hand clamp on his shoulder and turned to see Damian.
"Welcome to Fatherhood." Damain spoke.
"Thank you." Adrien smiled, "Thank you both. I wouldn't be here with out you. I still can't believe how tiny she is."
"It'll fly by." Damian commented, "You hear it all the time, but it's true. I have maybe four years before I got people trying to get Amaya on dates."
Adrien smiled at Damian outlook for the future.
"They think they only have to fear the name. They'll see how good I am with a blade, if she's late." he continued.
Adrien and Marinette laughed, but her laugh quickly turned into a yawn.
"I already called you parents." Damian admitted.
"And I called my father while Damian was getting you checked in." Adrien spoke up, "Everyone is already on their way to meet Baby Emma."
Adrien pouted as Emma was taken away by the nurses.
"Hey, it's okay." Damian whispered, "It's a normal procedure. Besides-"
Adrien looked confused at Damian. He nodded his head towards the bed. Adrien turned to see Marinette passed out, asleep.
"It gives time for mothers to rest. She'll be up later to feed Emma." he finished, explaining.
Adrien quickly stepped out and called Nino.
"Hey, my guy." Nino answered, "How's Mari?"
"I'm a dad!" Adrien replied.
"Seriously! Today? Like, right now?" Nino cried out in excitement.
"Yeah. Damian's watching over Mari, right now. Marinette fell asleep a moemnt ago. He's keeping an eye on her vitals. She gave birth like twenty minutes ago." Adrien answered.
"Congrats!" his best friend said.
"I'll call you more later. I just wanted to let you know." Adrien explained.
"Completely understand." Nino stated, "Go help Damian take care of Mari and go take care of your little girl."
"I will." the new father answered.
It had taken ten hours, by plane, and another hour after to finally reach the hospital. Sabine and Tom lingered behind, as Gabriel hugged his son. They knew this wasn't meant to be their grandchild, but they did want to know how their daughter was doing. It seemed only fair that Gabriel would be the first to go in.
Gabriel walked into the room, nervous to meet his grandchild.
"Father, this is Emma Lily Agreste." Adrien stated, picking up his infant daughter.
Gabriel looked at the little bundle in his son's arms and noticed she had gained Emile's and Adrien's hair color.
"She looks like you did." Gabriel whispered, not even realizing he had spoken.
"She has Marinette's eyes." the new father declared, "Seems green eyes die with me."
"Or another child of yours could have them." Marinette yawned, "There's also the possibility that Emma's children inherit the green eyes. Papa's eyes are green, too."
"How are you, Mrs. Wayne?" Gabriel asked.
"Tired, but I'll get use to it again." she answered.
Tom and Sabine entered the room, leaving the Agreste family to fawn over the newborn.
"Was your delivery okay?" Sabine questioned.
"It was." Mari smiled at her parents, "Damian only had to pull Adrien away once."
"What did you do?" Gabriel hissed.
Adrien turned red, "I told Mari it would be fine. Then Damian made it clear I needed to treat Mari like a queen until Emma was born."
"Is that what you told him?" Mrs. Wayne asked her husband.
"It was his own assumption." Damian stated, "I merely informed him how long the birthing process could last. It appears he skipped over those chapters in the many books he read."
"It seemed private." Adrien answered, "I really didn't need to see pictures of what my best friend could possibly look like, down there, or imagine a-'
"Small pumpkin." Marinette smiled.
"Yes, Mari. A small pumpkin coming out of her!" he cried out.
Everyone in the room chuckled at the new father.
As Marinette and Emma rested in the hospital, surrounded by family, Adrien put out a tweeted that simply said: LEVEL UNLOCKED-FATHERHOOD. Damian was the first to like it. Between the both of them, the announcement of the Agreste-Wayne baby's birth went far. They decided it would be best to answer any questions the press had at the manor gates, to not disrupt the hospital. Adrien smiled in front of all the reporters. He knew they were all anxious and his father had taught him how to command a press conference. Too bad, he didn't care at the moment.
"I have a daughter!" he announced, quickly throwing everything to chaos.
Damian chuckled off to the side, as everyone quickly raised their hands.
"I'm sure all of you want a name." Adrien declared, "Her name is Emma Lily Agreste. She is named after my mother and her favorite flower. My mother was an amazing woman and I will always miss her. "
"Marinette is still recovering after the delivery." Damian spoke up, "I hope that you will all give her time to recover and for us to adjust."
"Don't worry, though." the new father smiled, "My social medias are still public and I'll probably post every second of my daughter on there, but I won't be bringing her out to the public for awhile."
Sure enough, it wasn't long before Adrien's account was littered with pictures of him and Damian, the Wayne family, Marinette and the three girls, one of him, Marinette, and his daughter, and finally him and Emma titled: 'My Lil Princess'.
