A few days earlier
Madison's pov

"Hey I heard a new kid is coming to school"

"Boy or girl"

"Girl"

"Oooh, she hot?"

"You wanna girlfriend don't you"

"Ya...." I said taking a sip of the water I was drinking

"I could try and find her Instagram I'm pretty sure her name is Isla parks or something like that" then I spit out my water

"Really? Like seriously no joke?" I said and she turned her phone to show me oh my god she was right what am I going to do

"Wait is she soccer girl?!" She asked what she meant by that is Isla game to almost every single one of my soccer games last year and we only lost the ones she wasn't there for

"Ya..."

"Oooooo," she said and I got to hit her arm

"Shut up"

"5 seconds ago you were complaining you didn't have a girlfriend and now your biggest crush is going to our school isn't that lucky"

"Oh my god you have to become her friend"

"What?"

"If you become her friend then it would be weird for you to follow her on insta then ask if she likes me!"

"Really Maddy her insta"

"Well I tried to follow on a burner account but she didn't expect it"

"Probably cause it was your burner account if you followed on your real account she would accept it"

"I doubt that can you please just become her friend?!?"

"Fine," she said and rolled her eyes

"Thanks, you're a good sister" I replied my mom and Ellie's dad have been Married for about 3 years now and we've gotten close in that time

"I know I'm the best," she said and I smiled

*the next day*

I got into Ellie's car cause I didn't feel like driving today and we went to school

"You realize I don't know what she looks like right?" And right as she said that she walked by god she's so pretty!

I didn't realize I was staring until Ellie got out of the car "well I know what she looks like now and by the way, you got a little drool right there" she laughed and walked away I looked of course she was lying

I walked into the school to find my best friend Taylor "Ooooooo" she said as I walked up to her then I looked at her confused "saw Isla" she replied then I rolled my eyes

"Shut up" I laughed

As the day went on I figured out she was in 3 of my classes which I was really happy about

Then when I and Ellie got home I was asking her so many questions

"Ok good news and bad news," she said and I got worried

"Good news she was staring at you for most of class bad news is she said she didn't like you and she was straight but I got her Instagram!!!"

"Oh uh ya that makes sense why on earth would she like me anyway ok well I'm going to go up to my room now," I said and ran upstairs I don't know why I got my hopes up why on earth would she like me

It was the next day and I was still disappointed about the whole Isla thing but I'm sure I'll get over it at some point

I got to school and the first was boring I almost fell asleep for it so I was so thankful it was over I found Abby one of my other friends at school and we started to walk to the second period talking about Isla of course and once we got into the class we just stood there and continued talking

But before our conversation was over I felt a tap on my back to find no other than Isla I smiled when I saw her because she's just so pretty

I was kinda nervous because we had never talked before but then she just started talking and I wasn't listening, to be honest, I was more staring at her and into her eyes then I tried to talk back but nothing would come out as just as I finally said something she had walked away looking sad
