Part 9

You quickly open the car and sit in. Sadie goes after you. She sits next to you and closes the door. It is silent for a while but then Sadie puts her hand on your thigh near your knee and speaks

"Hey Y/n..are you okay?"

"Yeah, yeah fine. We should go right" you say but not looking at her

"No. Y/n something is wrong. What ? Did i do something?" She says still calm

"Why it has to be always you?! You didn't do anything. How could you? You are the kindnest person i know. I did ..." You say and look at her. She can hear your voice cracking by each word

She put her hand from your thigh up to your cheek and brush it gently

"Y/n don't cry. It's okay. You didn't do anything. It's alright."

"Yes, i did. For example today. I made you cry and i lied to you and--" you stop immediately when you realize what you just say

"What?" She says and lets go of your cheek and looks at you confused

"Nothing.. nothing" you say and start car

"No Y/n, what did you say? You-..you lied to me?" She says and your heart breaks even more when you can hear her disappointed voice

You just nod and telling her by that you don't want to talk about it

She is looking at you for a while but then sighs and speaks

"We should go or we come late."

You take it and start driving

After about 25 minutes in uncomfortable silence you arrive. You get out of the car and go to the other side to open Sadie door

You open the door and offer her a hand but she gets out not even looking at you. And you just realize that your relationship will never be same

After a few songs and you sitting awkwardly at one place and watching everyone having fun it starts playing slow song. You immediately get up and start looking for Sadie.

When you spot her you go after her. She spots you as well but tries to ignore you and turns around. But you take her hand and turn her to you and pull her closer

"Can you dance with me? Please" you ask

She can't help but looking at you. You take that as yes and grab her waist gently and pull her closer

"I want to talk to you about...you know..that" you say

"I am listening" she says and doesn't take her eyes of you

"Yes i lied to you but not that exactly. Yes, at home it's complicated but the main reason of avoiding you is that..." You say but stop, you can't say it to her. What if she doesn't want to talk to you after that or worse

"Y/n you can tell me" she says with comforting voice which gives you more courage

"You are just perfect. You have the most gorgeous hair, but then i spot your eyes and i can lost in them. Your eyes are so beautiful. That blue ocean eyes which i can looking in all day. And then..your smile. Like i don't know how i can control myself from not staring at you all the time. You are perfect Sadie. That day when you sat next to me something changed. I don't know what, but it's amazing feeling..." You say.

You drop your head and take a deep breath and look at her again

"I love you Sadie. I always have. But when you wanted me for date as a friend and I just couldn't look at you because when i did my mind was like 'i am not good enough for her and i never be'. You are the reason why i go to school and can enjoy it. I want you in my life Sadie. Maybe you don't feel the same but i just can't hold it anymore." You finish and then you can see her eyes tear up and shocked face

"Y/n-- i..i don't know what to say" she says with sad face

Song ends and you can't do this anymore so you run out

You sit on stairs and tears start forming in your eyes. What did you expect, of course she doesn't like you. You are just a friend to her

After a while you go back and spot Sadie sitting at a table and looking into her hands. You go after her and when you get closer you realize that she was crying too and hasn't seen you so you speak

"Uh..Sadie? I am going home. Do you have any ride back or i can take you."

She looks up at you with tears in her eyes. You squat and look at her

"Hey, come on. i'll take you home." You say calmly

You know she is sensitive when she makes someone sad, mad or uncomfortable so you are happy when she just nods

You get to the car and you open door for her

"Thank you Y/n" she says quietly

You smile at her and close the door

When you are in the car as well you start driving to her house

All the way to Sadie's house you focus on the road but then you feel her hand on yours

"Y/n..i am sorry-" she tries to say something but you interrupt her

"Hey, it's okay really. Don't worry about me. Just..when you get home go sleep okay." You say still looking at the road.

"You are amazing." She says and lets go of your hand

You smile
