If Christian had amnesia and was given a vaccine.

Somewhere underground,  zombies are hacking at the speed of light as data is being processed. One of them stumbled upon classified information. "I think I got something." She said.

"It appears these people were chosen as test subjects by members of the high council themselves. They are the only ones given the antibodies to fight against the biological weapon they are using against our kind without their knowledge."

Her supervisor huffed. "It won't do us any good to pursue them. They are humans. Obviously these antibodies are meant for human protection. The likelihood of it helping our kind is slim."

That's when the zombie next to her recognizes one of the people in the photographs. "There is hope for us." He pointed at the last picture on the bottom right. "This one here is one of our kind. The high council mistook him for a human."

"And you know this how?" the girl zombie asked.

"A close friend of mine in Renegade 6 dated him before choosing to wipe his memories clean of what he is in order to protect him from harm. How he ended up in that city, I don't know, but we better notify him quickly. I know for sure he can  figure out what's going on." He said before sending the information out.

A few days later, Christian is running around feeling panic. "I'm going to die!" he halted when he heard his cell phone ringing. "Thank you Jesus!" he cried out as he took it out of his shorts pocket. "Hello."

"Hey. Where are you?" his neighbor that lives a couple doors down from him asked.

He chuckled sheepishly. "I may have gotten lost. All I see are trees. How can I possibly tell the difference between them?" he sighed. "I'll try finding my way back, and if you don't see me, look for a forest ranger or something." He hung up and sighed again.

He shook his head and narrowed his eyes in determination. "I can do this. If a deer or a bear can find their way into civilization, I am sure I can find my way back." He marched forward as he whistles a Military  song. And sometime later, he's lying against a tree trunk feeling exhausted. "This is not how I pictured my death." He murmured before hearing the sound of footsteps approaching.

Feeling alert, he scrambled up and stood as three people emerge carrying backpacks on their backs. "Why, hello there." The blonde greeted as she wiggled her fingers.

"Hi." Christian greeted bashfully. "Um, you wouldn't happen to know where the trail is, do you?"

The guy with shoulder length red hair chuckled. "You got lost or something?"

"Maybe." Christian mumbled as he blushes in embarrassment.

The pale guy grinned wide. "No problem. We are more than happy to help you out." He extended his hand. "Jason."

"Christian." He said as he shook his hand.

"I'm Sarah. And this is Jacob." The blonde introduced themselves.

Christian smiled in relief before hearing his stomach growling.

Sarah giggled as Jason and Jacob look amused.

"Missed breakfast?" Jason asked as Christian blushes again.

Thirty minutes later, the small group emerged from the forest to the trail. "Thank heavens!" Christian cried out and happily bent down to kiss the dirt before spitting it out.

The others either grimaced or rolled their eyes. "Thank you so much!" Christian is on the verge of tears.

They smiled. "No problem. Just try paying attention where you are going next time." Sarah winked at him. "Alright?"
