Max and Y/N had been dating for almost 5 years now, before he was in the MLB, and now she was extremely excited to say that her boyfriend was now on the Atlanta Braves. Before moving there, they decided to take a trip there and tour around, getting used to their new city. Did Y/N want to move to this city and leave her hometown, San Diego? No, she didn't but she was doing it in support of her boyfriend, whom she loved
Once they arrived in Atlanta, and checked into their hotel room, Y/N was astonished by the sights of her view from the hotel window; You could literally see everything from it. It was only 6PM and she was beat, but Max was most definitely not.
"Babyyy, get up! I wanna take you out.." Max said, throwing a pillow at Y/N
"Go out? I'm so tired, Max, not tonight." Y/N responded, with a groan as she moved the pillow from her face.
"Please? I won't beg you to do anything else if you do this for me." He pleaded.
"Ugh, ok. Fine, just give me a few minutes to get ready. Where are we going?" Y/N said defeatedly
"It's a surprise! Just dress casually, nothing too fancy." He responded.
Y/N slid on her darker ripped jeans, a red crop-top and her white converse, which she topped off with a necklace and some small hoop earrings. Max was also wearing casual clothes, jeans with a Braves hoodie, he was already repping his new team, and she was so proud of him.
"Are you ready, babe?" Max questioned from the bedroom part of the hotel suite.
"Yes, let's go."
And as they stepped out of the hotel, the crisp air nipped at their bare arms, leaving them to flinch and immediately cover their arms. They walked throughout the city until they made their way onto a restaurant with a beautiful view of the sunset, and the city. They were seated outside and a waitress was there almost immediately to take their orders. When they ordered, she took the menus and left Max and Y/N by themselves. Max took hold of her hands across the table and started up conversation.
"You look beautiful tonight, Y/N." He stated, studying her facial features
"Thank you, honey. You look very handsome, tonight."
"I can't believe how lucky I am to have you by my side during this time, I surely couldn't have done it without you, Y/N. I love you." Max said, and it made Y/N's heart flutter, Max had usually been affectionate to her but she had forgotten what it was like considering these past few weeks had been very stressful for them.
"I couldn't imagine not being on your side, I love you too, Max."
They'd finished eating and decided to visit the Atlanta Botanical Garden, since Y/N loved flowers and they thought it looked appealing from the outside. Once they'd paid and started walking into see all the beautiful plants, she'd noticed that Max had been acting a little nervous.
"Baby, are you okay?" She asked,
"Me? Yeah- I'm okay."
"Are you sure? You seem antsy."
"Yes, babe. Wow, look at that flower, it's so pretty" He said, making her turn around and he reached in his pocket for a small black box that he'd been hiding from her all night. He got down on one knee and waited until she turned around to say the four words he'd been holding in for the longest time.
"Will you marry me?
"Oh my god- What?! Yes!"
He already paid a photographer to take pictures and videos of the proposal, so you could say he was prepared. He got up and immediately hugged her, kissing her all over, just waiting for the day he could tie the knot and officially make her his.
