December 1st, a date Sammie had been waiting for-for a year, the time she can finally let out her holiday cheer without being persecuted. She'd been with Adley for some time now, and he was aware of her love for the holiday, but he wasn't the same; He was the 'Christmas starts on December 1st' kind of guy. Most people didn't know how they got along around this time, but they were quickly reminded that opposites attract.

That morning, Sammie had woken up early to start decorating the house, but first she had to clean it. You can't decorate a messy home, can you? She was surprised that the vacuuming didn't wake up her sleeping husband, since he was such a light sleeper.

After that, she'd made her way to the garage to pull out the totes of Christmas decorations that she'd been dying to bring out all year. One by one, the totes made their way out of the garage and into the living room of their shared home, awaiting to be opened. 10 totes, there were 10 totes scattered across the living room, accompanied by the Christmas tree box, they'd always had a pre-lit tree to save them the headache of cleaning a real one up. First, she set the tree up, then she moved onto decorating the thresholds and railings with garland. Then it was onto replacing the fall decorations with her beloved Christmas ones, something she loved to do.

Glancing at the time, reading 10AM, she got up and walked over to the kitchen to make some coffee for her husband knowing he'd be waking up soon. She placed the mug onto the kitchen's island and continued her decorating. This time, she was working on decorating the tree with her beloved ornaments. As predicted, the door to her room opened and revealed her fully dressed husband, who'd been up for a while, no particular reason in mind.

"What are you doing? It's not even December yet, baby." Adley questioned,

"Well good morning, Grinch, it is December, the first to be exact." Sammie quipped,

"Our house looks like Santa's elves threw up all over it, how long have you been up?"

"6AM, I wanted it done before you woke up."

He didn't respond back, and just walked over to the kitchen, noticing the cup of coffee that was sitting on the island.

"Aw, but you found time to make me coffee? How sweet." He joked, sipping on the fresh liquid

Some time had passed by and Sammie was exhausted, but she still had to go out and run errands, and she had to place the inflatables outside, both of which Adley knew she had to do. Sammie decided to suck it up, and go out to run errands, pushing the inflatable business away for a while.

While she was out, her husband, Adley had taken it upon himself to put up the inflatables, knowing his wife had put a bunch of effort into decorating their shared home already; Maybe his attitude toward Christmas might change.

When Sammie made her way home, it was late, 5PM to be exact, and the sun had already started to go down, thanks to daylight savings. When she pulled into her driveway, the inflatables and Christmas lights strung across their house made her heart melt, her husband, who is a grinch, really did this for her. In her mind, she'd won the lottery.

She couldn't wait to go in the house and lay down, and obviously see her 'grinch' of a husband. When she made her way in, she wasn't prepared for the sight she'd be seeing, Adley, and their dog, Ridley, snuggled up on the couch, watching a christmas movie, the fire gleaming, and the Christmas tree lit.

The sound of the door closing startled the two,

"Oh, hey" Adley said, noticing his wife,

"Hey, did you do that for me?"

"Do what? Decorate our home? Yes, that was me."

As Adley was talking, Sammie was making her way over to him.

"I thought you hated Christmas," Sammie stated

Adley did nothing but motion her to lay down with him, and to which she obliged.

"I love you," Said Sammie,

"I love you too, way too much." Replied Adley,
