For the over 5 years, Eden and Alec had been happily married, although they briefly went over the idea of having a baby. I mean, it's not like they weren't stable enough. If anything, they were much more than that; Alec is a Professional Baseball Player for God's sake. Neither of them were opposed to it either, they wanted kids, just never really talked about it.
That was until Eden had come up late. And a stripe or two had come up on the plastic stick in her hand, indicating what the future held for the couple. Panic. Excitement. More excitement. Was she having a baby? More-so, having a baby with the love of her life?
AUGUST 14TH 2021
Eden had waited for her husband to come home for what felt like months, although it was only a few hours. She planned to break the great news after a game win.
The door opened, Eden's heart raced.
What if he doesn't want it?
"Babe? I'm home!" Her lovely husband announced.
"I'm in the kitchen!"
Soon enough, she's engulfed in a bear hug, with a kiss on the cheek. Until Alec noticed her cheeks were splattered with tears.
"What's wrong baby? What is it? You can tell me." He pressed, wanting to know the unsolved mystery of tears
She took a deep breath in, and decided to just let it out.
"Alec, honey, you're going to be a dad."
Alec's whole world was interrupted with mental fireworks. He'd waited for this moment forever. To have his own kid, his mini me, as some might call it.
He didn't say a word. All he did was grasp his wife in the longest hug ever.
"Are you serious? Baby, you don't know how long I've waited for this.." Alec said, tears lining his words, making him laugh.
MAY 16TH 2022
Eden knew she was going to give birth soon, yet she still attended her husband's baseball game. She sat with Kay, and Lexi, Bryce Harper and JT Realmuto's wives.
It was the bottom of the 6th inning and Eden had already began to feel contractions in the 2nd. She was trying to hold this baby on as much as she could, but obviously, it was inevitable to hold on when her water burst.
"Eden! Are you okay??" Kay exclaimed
"Huh?" Eden was oblivious to the puddle of water below her
"Babe, we need to get you to the hospital. Quick!" Lexi yelled
AN HOUR LATER, NBCS PHILLY
Top of the 8th , Alec Bohm is at 3B, getting ready for the inning to start after the 7th inning stretch. Until, Rob Thompson comes up to him and break the news to him that his wife is in labor.
Immediately, he begins running into the dugout, unbuttoning his jersey on the way there.
"And welcome back to Citizens Bank Park, as we begin the 8th innin- what's this? Alec Bohm is running to the dugout with Rob Thompson on the field.." Tom McCarthy questions
"What is he doing out there!" John Kruk exclaims
"Well we're getting word now that he's exiting the game on a family emergency. Sosa will be playing 3B in place of him." Tom explains
"Hmm. I hear his wife is expecting, maybe it's that! Good luck to him."
"John, I don't think we should assume"

Alec and Eden were in their glory. This is all they've ever wanted, and it's even better they get to share this special moment with their favorite person.
Later that week, The Phillies posted a little something on their social media accounts.
"Join us in congratulating Alec & Eden bring Aaron Bohm into the world! Welcome to Parenthood!"
OCTOBER 3RD, 2022
Parenthood had been hard for the two of them. Considering the Phillies had clinched a playoff spot for the first time in 11 years, so Alec was immersed into his baseball career.
Obviously, it was hard on Eden, but she understood for Alec's sake; it's not like they planned this baby anyway.
Per usual, she was sitting with the baseball wives when they had finally done it. They made playoffs. The girls were already making their way down to the field, to celebrate with their husbands and boyfriends.
Quickly, everyone found their spouse almost immediately, but that left Eden and Aaron looking around for Alec until she spotted him.
Those perfect bouncy curls, and his breath-taking eyes met with hers. She had almost fell in love again.
"Baby! I'm so incredibly proud of you!" Eden exclaimed, while handing Aaron over to his lawful father.
Alec turned to her, "I love you, Eden, I couldn't have done any of this without you."
"I love you too, Alec, I couldn't imagine doing this with anyone else."
