A sunny day it was, perfect baseball weather, and the perfect day to be cheering on her brother, and her boyfriend; But everyone thought it was just her brother she was cheering for, nobody but the two knew they were dating. The Braves won the game and she received a text from Austin Riley, her boyfriend, asking her to come to the field. Which she complied with, knowing it was something she would normally do. Walking down in the stands she was met with hugs, cheers, people asking for pictures and more.
Once I made it to the dugout, Dansby, my brother, hugged me and for some reason, they wanted to take pictures of us; Probably something about sibling love.
I walked up to my boyfriend, Austin, and greeted him with a hug, wanting to do much more.
"I'm so happy for you, Ba- Austin!" I said, noticing there were cameras near, and to which he giggled.
"Thank you, Sammie. Maybe we can get dri-" Austin tried to say, but was cut off by an interviewer asking him something and Sammie accepted defeat.
It was later in the night and they were in the clubhouse, but nobody else was there, just Austin and Sammie. This was basically an invitation for them to makeout, which they hadn't done in a few days, considering Austin was busy all the time. They were kissing when they heard thumps, Sammie brushed it off as the clubhouse settling or something, but oh boy was she wrong. The thumps were then followed with a voice, a familiar one at that, and was recognized as her brother, Dansby; Who also had no idea they were dating. They were kissing still when Dansby walked in the room, and they stopped immediately, pushing each other away. This allowed them to see that Dansby was carrying a camera! Is it on? Both you and Austin thought, and to your demise, it was; Streaming to 177k people, infact. Dansby had been streaming a clubhouse tour for the fans, and also for more advertisement.
"What the fuck?" Dansby asked, ending the live. "Am I dreaming? Is this real?"
"Yes, Dans, it's real. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner." Sammie replied, Austin looking shocked
"Are you really fucking my sister? After I asked all the guys on the team not to hit on her, you still did? C'mon man." Dansby furiously grilled, Austin not knowing what to say
"Dansby, it's fine, really."
"I'm not even mad, just know that it's gonna be all over social media in a few minutes." He said, walking off.
"What? Don't tell anyone!" Sammie screamed, following after him
"Didn't have to, got it on video, by accident."
THREE DAYS LATER
Austin and I decided it would be best if we explained to our fans what was going on, if we were together, or if it was just a fling. Personally, I think it's bullshit we have to explain our own private relationship, but who knows. We were going to do it before his game, on the field, and I was the most nervous I'd ever been
"Before we start our game, we have a word from Austin Riley and Dansby Swanson's sister, Sammie Swanson!"
I stepped out on the field, my heart pounding, and I guess Austin felt it so he squeezed my hand, making the stadium go wild. I was handed a mic, and I looked to Austin and nodded
"So, I assume everyone's seen the video that's been circled around various social medias at the moment, right?" I asked, laughing a little. I paused before saying,
"Well, it's true, and real. Austin and I are dating, and we have been for a few months."
The crowd went wild, and I turned to Austin who was leaning in for a kiss, I kissed back, and somehow, the screams got louder.
"I love you, Swanson."
