It was another Sunny afternoon when I stopped me and March's study session early and abruptly.

"Well, that's a wrap." I closed my book and yawned.

"What? But it's still early." March protested.

"I know but I'm in the mood for some horse riding today. It's been a while since i did some. I really need to do it before my skills gone rusty." I packed up my books hastily.

"Well, if you're going horse riding, can I go too? I haven't done any my whole life." March suggested, rather enthusiastic.

"Sure. I'll just change to my horse riding attire and I'll meet you at the stables, kay?"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait. I don't have any specialized clothing."

"Just wear something comfortable then. And don't worry about the helmet. Percy always keeps some at the stables. See ya later, March." I waved at him and walked towards the girl's dorm.

~~~
I admired the way my moss green boots sunk into the damp grass and make a funny squishing sound. I walked past the dew filled grass, past the glistening lake, past the singing birds and towards the stables. I adjusted my hat hastily as a sliver of sun's ray poked into my eye. From far ahead, I can see someone in a dark blue jumper and navy blue sweatpants.
"Heya, Scarlette. Am I in the right attire?" March turned around right and left to show me his attire from every point of view.
"I guess it's alright." I nodded slowly.
Although his casual attire differs so much with my proper horse riding attire, what matters is we're having fun. I quickly straightened my olive colored peplum top and called out for the stable boy, Percy Bryce. He's been working here ever since I arrived at this school. So we're more or less the same age. Both 15 with a couple of months as age gap.
"Yo, Perce! You in there?!" I called out.
"Morning, scarface. Early aren't ya? Now who's this good lad ye bring with ya? Boyfriend of yours?" Percy asks in a thick accent. Though he's a foreign, he spoke not too thick of an accent to the point that I can't understand him.
"What?! No, we're just friends, you know. Pals?"
"Aye." He nodded though rather unconvincing. "Don' think yeh've been here before, eh?"
"Nope. This is my first time actually." March timidly walked towards the fence to meet Percy.
"I see, I see. Name's Percy Bryce, Perce for short. A lil nickname scarface got for me that everyone's bin using. Yours?"
"March Cromwell. No nickname. Just March." March shakes Percy's hand, happily.
"Neat, neat. So, goin' on Hazel as usual?" Percy turned around to speak to me again.
"Duh, I loved that girl. I do hope she's not busy?" I asked.
"Hm, daresay she's bin a bit busy ever since she got herself a mate. But I think she'll be okay with a bit of a ride 'round the paddock. Don' thick she'd mind. And you lad? What'll your ride be?" Percy turned around to face March.
"Uhm...I don't know any of the horses here so-" March's words are cut short by Percy's.
"Bah, no biggie. Shadow boy's a good guy with newbies. I mean, he's a newbie himself so mentally connects with the humans you know? Wait here you twos, I'll fetch 'em for ya'" Percy disappears behind the stable.
"Bit weird of an accent is he? Foreign?" March whispered.
"Yeah, he came here when I was in 7th grader. We're the same age but with a couple of months as age gap."
