At one sunny Tuesday morning, I was midway brushing my teeth when my phone pings. I thought it's March pestering me for Britney's Insta account, but you know how I can't. I've known Britney for a long while and she ain't pleasant. Although she's a sweet cinnamon roll on the outside, she can kill you! And, I don't want March to get involved when dealing with Britney. That look in his eyes when he spotted Britney is just...priceless. It's so priceless it's cute. I can't destroy that hope in him, but it's not like I can promote some fake hopes either. Even though I knew it's probably just him pestering me, I decided to check it anyway. Just in case.

Hi, Scarlette

I gave out a sigh of distress as I pocketed my phone back in my jeans pocket. Shame he can't come for breakfast and lunch. To be honest, I was looking forward to the meal times because it's the only time I can meet him. And with that, I meant like, we're on different class you know? So, meeting up is kinda hard. Past me would force my head in a toilet bowl for this sh*t. What can I say? I made a deal and I've done my part. After the week done and my hand's well, it'll all be back to normal.

I quickly put on a baggy sweater and pull on a pair of jeans, stockings and shoes before heading out for my first lesson which happens to be math. I'm not a math person but I guess if I read the textbooks and studied it carefully I can understand the topics but I'm just too...lazy to do that. I guess I'll just sit next to some math nerd later.

As soon as I clicked the last strap of my shoes, I hurried towards the canteen and directly to the serving section. Just as March instructed earlier, I decided to just opt for the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, on wheat bread - my least favourite type of bread. I sighed in defeat as I slumped down on the canteen bench. At least a sandwich is not that hard to eat with your non-dominant hand.

"Would you at whose here? Scarlette scarface. Or should I say, Miss Wimpy Hand?" A horrific cackle of hyenas rang from behind.

I groaned and faced this week hyenas, Britney's minions. The ponytailed redhead and curly brunette came sashaying my way, causing the nerds to move tables in their wake. It seems like they got bored taunting on Nerdy Alfred. Damn it, Alfred.

"HEY!" The redhead snapped and slapped the sandwich out of my hand. "Look me in the eyes when I'm talking."

"Tch, such a bogus you are. Pretending to be sick to worm your way into a guy's heart. Typical of her. It works on the previous one doesn't it?" The brunette cackled.

"STOP IT!" I clapped both hands to my ears. "You hyenas! You two are no better than that f*ckin jockey!"

"Look who's speaking here, buddy. You're talking to that f*ckin jokey's girlfriend and vice principal's daughter. Do you really want to mess with me and mess your life too in the process?" The brunette pushed me to the ground with a thud.

I fell silent and stared at the ground.

"That's what I thought." Curly haired spat.

"Oh, and side-note, leave that golden retriever of a boy alone. She's Britney's pick." Said the redhead.

"Doesn't that damn girl changes partner every semester?" I blanch.

"You know she's a kind and sweet girl. She knew who had a crush on her and wants to give them a nice experience of what could've been." Redhead grins stupidly.

"That's giving false hopes you dumbass!" My fists clenched at this stupidity. "How could you two wads of gums see her as a good samaritan when she treats other people like sh*t?! She's only using those poor people to stoke on her popularity!"

"Shut it, dirtbag!" Redhead puts her index on my lips. "You know how it is when you deal with us. I don't suppose you'd like another round of punishment?!"

I grit my teeth. "If it concerns March, you bet my damned scar I will!"

"Sweet. Sad he's ain't yours. We all know Britney's the only one who can win his heart." Brunette sighs in admiration.

"Yeah, to sugarcoat the upcoming heartless breakup!" I muttered under gritted teeth.

Suddenly and out of nowhere, the bell rang. The first period is starting. Honestly, it can't come at a much better time. Thank God.

"Tch," Redhead spat. "The bell saved you for now, but don't you dare think you're off the hook. We'll make sure you had double the usual beatings."

"I'll look forward to it."

I glared at the two sashaying away from me with relief. Though I faced them off quite well, if I do say so myself, my hands and feet are trembling horribly. My face is covered with cold sweat knowing that I'll get twice as much and twice as worse beatings and punishments than usual. I do hope March sees the truth behind the girl he has fallen for and saved me from the clutches of these foul beasts before I became their prey.

AN: Sorry for the short chapter. Just not feeling it today. I want to add smth but I feel like it's way too fast of a progress to add it here. Anyways, happy reading!
