her heart
used to be like
a rock,
but now she feels
it breaking
like
glass.
in her chest it
shatters,
the shards
wounding her.
old wounds being
reopened,
and new one's being
made.
leaving her was
the worst
thing you could've
done,
making her feel
insignificant like she
meant
nothing to everyone,
to you.
her love, trust
and loyalty for
you was bulletproof,
but you're the one
who
pulled trigger
and
tore her down.
she tried to
put herself
back
together,
but she was already
weak, she was already
too broken, and she was already
ready to give
up.
and you
didn't care.
you were to scared
that you'd cut
yourself
on her broken pieces,
so you
just
turned and walked
away.
